SM has its good and bad sides. For me it has impacted my life so much. Socially, spiritually, academically and what have you.

  4. Social media to a large extent has impacted me so lots of knowledge that ordinarily I wouldn't have gotten in a short distance time. In fact I became abreast with global information and happenings. It made international communication and business easy but one disadvantage is, when it becomes too addictive, it stand to distract you from other meaniful things you ought to have spend your time on.

  6. Social media has helped me a lot. Through sm I’ve been educated and reorientated. My social media pages are very private but I’m able to use them to get so much information and do correct aproko. Like the time I found out that hubby’s underaged niece was a nude model for one wacky artist. I also found out that my half brother was gay and extremely troubled. I’ve been able to discipline myself to comment on very few platforms and I do so anonymously (Ivannah).

The only downside to my sm use is that it leaves me wishful about certain things. People I don’t want to associate with I find myself unconsciously stalking them sometimes. That’s the only thing I need to work on.

  7. I have read and learnt a lot on social media . I have come to know about cultures and believes of people in Africa and other continents.

I have also realized that people will do anything to create a false impression about themselves on Social Media and also do despicable things to sustain that false impression.

Social media has also seized the attention of parents and children from each other, spouses from each other, siblings from each other and also friends from each other because it has create a wide gap even when those involved are living in the same house or living at close proximity.
Emojis have now replace physical and body contacts and affections .
Fake news now create a divide among people especially Nigeria where different Ethnic groups once co-existed in Peace.
Social Media has made a lot of people to throw caution to the wind because they want to keep up with trends they see on the media.

Children have learnt a lot of Vices from Social Media without there parents knowledge. ASA asked in her song "Fire on the Mountain" ; WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT WE TEACH OUR CHILDREN?
Families even wash their dirty linens there now . It is also an easy avenue for young and old , single and married,to connect for whether Vice or Virtue depending on whom you are .
Many spend time doing nothing but roaming about the internet doing nothing.

    1. Yes,I had a very serious ish recently and people I met on sm came to my rescue but not without thorough verifications though. Infact someone was chosen to visit where I stay. Someone transferred 30k to me and another send me clothes from Europe. Prior to this I reached out to Stella but she thought it was another scamming tactics but I bless God for that forum because they pulled me out of the mess I found myself and I would forever bless God for those he used for me.

    1. That’s a wise move Pretoria. But you’ve got to understand that happiness and self love are very key to facing this bid bad world. Work hard at your goals and don’t care about others. You’ll be fine.

      Delete
    2. Pretoria your name got me pronouncing it in the SA tongue.

My dear don't forget we all have different destinies...our timings are different...for everyone, there's a set time. Just keep working harder, pray harder and things will fall in the right place for you only at the RIGHT TIME.

      Delete
    3. Pretoria you don’t need to be depressed over that, everything will fall in place when it’s your own time. Try and make yourself happy. God bless you.

    4. Pretoria,God bless you. People fail to address this aspect of social media. like you, I got depressed seeing my mates "achievement" on Social media in comparison to mine, but then I got to realise that most people live fake lives on Social media, I still hardly use social media( because of this feeling of depression I get when I use it) unless it's business related, I get my information from Google, Blogs, and websites

  18. Awon social media

  19. As for me, I have gained a lot from social media. I gained a free tailoring training on this blog

    ReplyDelete
  20. @Pretoria Be content with what you have achieved, be confident in who you are.
Atleast there is life and a future.
You need to get to that state of ‘unbotheredness’
See social media posts and the glitz for what they really are... Mere pictures.
You can either aspire to be more through them or decide to be troubled.
Where will you run to? Will you avoid Whatsapp too? I can understand if you ignore these apps because you are a private person, but if you are running away cos of your mates, Nah buddy. Stand tall!
Social media has ills and gains. I will choose the gains.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Tired to type.

Mine is in excess; the knowledge, the connection, the friends, the leverage.

In summary, belonging to a particular network group helped me trample over my thesis in few months, I couldn't believe it.
Biz-wise; one customer spirals into many in few days. Recommendation is fast track.
Career-wise; I executive projects in lesser time. Once you are on the right forum, throw in questions, before take off, the other end has your logistics sorted out. Stress free.

God bless This Interractive Media. It is everything.

  22. Social media has helped my business.

  23. Social media as a tool has really been a blessing to me. It has help me cope with life's challenges and out smiles on my face when I'm down( all I need do is come online a d read comments and the next thing is endless laughter).

SM has made me meet people I never thought I could meet in real live,it has become a bridge for my personal growth.

In my business, social media has helped shaped my brand and my business is 80% Sm reliant as it were. Because most of my customers and referrals come from social media.

So in essence, I will say that Social media has been a very supportive/ important tool for me.
