    1. Annie is not enlightened at all, what has feminism got to do with the crap she said? 😏🤷

    2. You anon is the one that is not enlightened. A woman can hold her place, run Any thing, remain powerful and still remain a woman and not a man. Why would a woman wake up and say she is no longer a queen but a king? I'm with Annie here.

  2. She doesn't even know what feminism entails. Anni read books or use Google to enlighten yourself next time before revealing your ignorance to the world.
Where are those learned anonymous, abeeg come and school mrs IDIBIA what feminism is all about.

    1. Thanks Princess. She’s an airhead.

    2. Let's be real please. How in the name of "intelligentsia" will you be a Princess if males and females were Kings?

And why use Princess instead of Prince?

      Simply asking a question.

      Delete
    3. You with the ID, why wait for learned anonymous to school her? Why can’t you do it yourself? Why can’t you mention names of books and theories intellectuals have used in the discourse of gender vis a vis feminism? What do YOU know is feminism? Even those who jump on the ship shouting feminism is about equality, bla bla bla have no knowledge of how the ‘concept’ started and the trends it has passed through.

  3. A woman can't be a King. You can be a queen and do exceptionally and exceedingly well

    1. You can be a queen all by yourself and pull strings more then men, see queen Amina of Zaria or the former queen Elizabeth. They may have had men in their lives but they were conquerors all by themselves and never called themselves kings

  7. You guys should just stop fooling yourselves all in the name of feminism. Leave men to be men and women to be women. It is as simple as that. Play your role as a woman and let the men play their role as men. Where on earth have you seen where they made a woman king. Not even in the bible days. Being a queen does not make you less of a person. The universe does not care if you are a queen or a king. You all should stop it.

    1. When did bible become a standard for everyone? Hiss.
Stop with the gender roles. Women be women. Men be men. What is that? Everyone can become anything. No rules, no limitations

  8. Of course she is not a feminist. She is too dumb and her self esteem is non existent. A true feminist will not encourage threesomes with her husband and other crap just to bear Mrs. No need to school her as she is too far gone. I feel so sorry for her daughters.

    4. At 20:55.What do you mean by women in Europe? The Europeans eclipsed our values and culture that recognised women with their distasteful colonial heritage that subjugated women. They have realised their errors and made laws to protect women. We are still where we are. Treating women as 2nd class humans

  9. women empowerment? and also you are not a feminist. what does some women think that feminism is all above. Annie, its not fighting 2face and his babymamas. its advocacy for women rights in every sphere of life in which women empowerment is included.

    1. Women empowerment can be placed under gender equality and not feminism. Most of you are not intellectually sound to discuss feminism. Feminism is beyond women empowerment and deconstruction of gender roles. It is more of saying there is no disparity between men and women. Some are radical, liberal, traditional among others. Maya Angelou was a feminist and lesbian; meaning that when she's relating with you, she doesn't see sex but just as a human being. Feminism is a broad discourse jare

    2. Maya Angelou was a Le? 😩😩😩😩

    3. and gender equality is not under feminism olodo. you should use your dictionary to look up feminism. be sensible and read. dont just rush to comment.

    4. Thank you,22:56.Some of us teach this concept as a course ,so l was surprised that Anon 21:00 made that claim! You cannot talk about equity, equality and social justice without mentioning feminism. I guess the Anon and Annie go to the same nightclub.

      Delete
    5. Shut up! Gender studies can never be under feminism. Feminism is just a branch of gender studies. That one is advocate of women empowerment doesn't make the person a feminist. Feminist don't recognize the man as the head of the family. They are totally against patriarchy. Gender equality is not feminism. Mind you, my BA and MA is on gender. Chimamanda Adichie is a feminist while folorunsho Alakija encourage women to be empowered. That doesn't make the later a feminist because she's been echoing that her husband is the head of her home. Most of you don't know the difference.

      Delete
    6. Priscafarry, you have these qualifications and you are saying 'shut up' to someone during an argument. I did not read 'Gender Studies' in what 22:56 said and l am sure nobody saw that either. You said a whole lot of nonsense: how can you extricate one from the other? I will not insult you by suggesting that you missed a lot of classes had issue with comprehension. Annie and others might want to read more on women empowerment and feminism, so we can stop this display of our intellectual laziness.

      Delete
    7. So, any woman that is empowered automatically becomes a feminist? You don't mean it.

      Delete
    8. pricafarry, what is women empowerment to you if not equality and what is feminism if not equality too? how can a woman be empowered without equality? Because of illiteracy and our background culture, some women read feminism only on blogs. take out time and read the concept of feminism. stop thinking backwards as though a husband is going to be stripped of his headship. equality of man and woman is different from the relationship of a man and a woman in marriage.

  12. I am not a feminist, not because I think women are inferior, No, I believe I was never inferior and I have always been equal to any other human being. Now if you think you’re superior for being born with a penis, you are the one that is sick, go take your meds. I’m not becoming anything or tagging myself to become what I’ve always been.
I am a woman, a human and as good as any other human being.

    2. You are a feminist but scared to declare it. Women in nigeria are scared of being tagged a feminist bcos of the stereotype that come with it. Even men can be feminist. Not a curse.

Even when i declared myself a feminist, my husband went ballistic and wanted to die ontop d matter, but you have to educate people.

  13. Annie has championed causes that had to do with empowering women and she still says she isn't a Feminist?😳 What then is Feminism?

Btw, Why will you want to be a ‘king’ as a female to make ground breaking moves? Will your success be more authentic if you attach ‘KING’ to your name?
I have never really had interest in this King title, If superior argument is brought to the table, I might just understand it.

  15. Let me state first and foremost that I am a feminist. Pure and true. And I always will be.
And because I am a feminist, it truly ANNOYS me when women call themselves KINGS!
Indeed, no true feminist will call herself a KING!
    Why am I saying this?
Because I don't understand the rationale behind women not wanting to be Queens but Kings. Why? Do such women think being a King is better than being a Queen? Are Kings higher than Queens? Do you not believe that Queens are just as powerful as Kings? If as a woman, you call yourself King because you believe the title King is higher than Queen, you are no different from women who want to be men because they somehow believe that men have it better than women. And that is an inferiority complex I cannot tolerate.
If you think Kings are superior to Queens, then you think Men are superior to Women.
    I am a feminist.
    I am a woman.
    I love being a woman.
I have no desire to be a man.
Society has modern women believing that they have to take on masculine traits to be taken seriously. And that is a tragedy.
Men and women are EQUAL. But we need to stop confusing EQUALITY with INTERCHANGEABILITY. Equality has everything to do with value! And nothing to do with roles or sameness.
I believe that as a woman, I can be anything I want to be, whiles maintaining the beautiful God Given characteristics that make me FEMININE.
I can be a housewife, while my husband is a big company executive and there will be gender equality in the home. Why? Because we will both understand that while our roles are not the same, we are equally as important in the household! There is beauty and equality in diversity!
On the other hand, I can be a high ranking exective in a big firm and my husband will be a carpenter, and there can be gender equality in the home as long as we understand that there is beauty in diversity and respect each other.
Why as a woman, do you think it is better to call yourself a king when the ruler of the greatest dynasty in the world proudly goes by the name of QUEEN ELIZABETH?
Why do you think being a king is more powerful when the woman who single handedly revolutionalized Russia proudly called herself QUEEN CATHERINE?
Why do you think queens are superior to kings when the woman who single handedly ushered England into the Golden Age proudly called herself QUEEN ELIZABETH THE FIRST?
Who saved the Jewish kingdom and brought down their enemies? Was it not QUEEN ESTHER?
Dear women, I think it is about time we embrace the enormous power we wield in our feminity. The beauty, strength and gentility of feminity. Let us be proud in our feminity.

    1. You deserve an accolade

All men are created equal no gender disparity. No one should be treated base on his or her gender or origin.

      Delete
    2. You are right but your feminism is meek. Feminist will never be a house wife. You like equality but not a strong feminist. Feminists are strong, able to stand on their own, wont take shit from no man. How can you do all that if you are a housewife. Women can call themselves whatever they want. Its a free world. Stop telling people what they can do or not do. A queen is strong as much as a king but if some social media frenzy person wants to be referred to as a king in a social awkward way. Then let her.

    3. This should go beyond husband and wife, every human being should be treated with respect. Your children domestic staff, wards and others. The world will be a better place.

    4. Some housewives hold the power in their homes o, it’s not by working

    5. @Proudly Feminist; You're contradicting yourself because in one breath, you're advocating for women's rights to choose to be whatever they want but in the same breath, you're belittling the choice of some women to stay at home and raise their children. Feminism at it's core is all about equipping and empowering women to make choices for themselves. Thats it. So a feminist can earn a doctorate, attain an executive position and still choose to give it all up to be a wife and a mum and it doesn't make her any less of a feminist. There is more to feminism than financial independence.

      Delete
    6. @Push Up Thank you ojare! People think earning power is the only kind of power there is in a home. But by virtue of the fact SAHMs manage every facet of the household and ensure that the home runs smoothly, they are just as entitled to an equal say in the house as the breadwinner is. In fact, they might even make more informed decisions in the home as they are the ones who actively run it, as compared to the husband who is away all day and doesnt have a firsthand experience of how the home runs.

    7. Well incase you come back to read this. I am talkimg out of experience, financial independence is freedom. You can,t call shot if you dont have finacial backing. You can be housewife but if your man isn,t on same page. You will be susceptible to abuse. It may be verbal or physical. Stay woke feminists. Be strong. Be independent

    8. Proudly feminist you need to let this anon school you about feminism... you know nothing about it from your comments

  16. At the end of the day all this argument has no basis. Everything we are and what we do are based on rules created by society. God created us naked, we decided what clothes are suited for males, females and children. We decided to create rules to govern our society. The title Queen and King were created to separate the two.

I don't think identifying as King should be an issue... people will argue over titles but ignore an abused child. There's something wrong with our society because we focus on useless things. There are more important things to argue about than titles and who opens doors for whom.
