NYSC Sanctions Davido For Absconding From Orientation Camp...

The National Youth Service Corps has sanctioned popular artiste, David Adeleke, aka Davido, for violating camp rules during the mandatory three-week orientation camp.

Top sources in the NYSC disclosed that for “absconding” from the camp during the orientation camp, the Corps had to “dekit” the artiste, which brought to an end his participation in the 2018 Batch ‘B’ Stream II in Lagos State, where he had been posted.

The source said, “The NYSC was constrained to “dekit” Davido for violating the rules guiding conduct and activities in the camp. As a matter of fact, he absconded because he was away from the camp without permission. That prompted the Corps to issue him a query which was sent from Abuja. So, he is no longer a serving corps member.”

The artiste violated many of the scheme’s regulations.

Other NYSC bylaws violated by Davido include bringing vehicles into the orientation camp; disclosing official information; engaging in private practice; taking part in partisan politics and reporting late for duty.

However, it was also gathered that he may be remobilised for the scheme.

Davido’s manager, Asa Asika, declined comment, saying he does not speak to the press.

    1. I Dey o Swag. You don hear from NYSC ba? Does it make sense to you that he should be retained for the scheme when in fact he didn’t participate in the mandatory three weeks orientation camp? How is he expected to be posted to his POP?

    3. Anon POP take a stroll back to the previous post. I never said he should be retained. I said participating in politics contributed because he's not supposed to. You said it's not true.

Let me ask you now, you don hear from NYSC ABI?

  2. "Bringing vehicles in the orientation camp". Lmao, but the day he came all the officials automatically became bouncers. He absconded abi,did he fly or disappear. The same person that brought vehicles into camp must have driven out through the gate. I'm sure they even happily waved as he left. Unserious people!

    2. The officers and officials at the camp ground don’t have sense now, its obvious its the people at the top that are trying to uphold the dignity and values of the NYSC.

    3. That’s the only reason you read above right? Why are you even trying to defend Davido? Is he better than others following the rules of the compulsory orientation? It is the support from people like you that makes children of wealthy people in Nigeria misbehave and feel above the law.

    4. Bringing cars to camp is wrong. During my youth service if they know the car is for a corp member they will deflate the tyre.

David did registration and left. Came back for opening ceremony and left too. Those 2days are busy days in camp.

That is not the only reason that was stated above.

    1. How do you know it wasn’t communicated to him long before now? Stay there and be on the wrong side of the field. The guy violated NYSC regulation because he thinks he is better than others but you are here trying to defend him.

    2. It is not just coming now. He didn't mention it because he knows he's guilty.

If not for his comment on that post people wouldn't have even known

    1. He didn't but I'm very sure he took permission to live outside camp which even ordinary citizens do. He's also not active in politics and he didn't break other rules stated above.

  8. He was dekitted for private practice, disclosure of official protocols and other political brouhaha. While Kemi adaosun was given award by FG for forging nysc certificate, what an irony. Buhari government is a big joke.
