Labour Room Drama 247

This is what I call drama!!!

''Pardon me, its going to be a long read.
My pregnancy journey was a bit drama free except for the spitting.i was very paranoid and almost drove my husband crazy, any little twist,i tell him i am sure i have injured our baby, let's do scan to be sure all is well and i will cry until we go for scan,we did scan more than 20 times.

The day my husband gave up on me was the day i told him i wanted to do a 3D scan because i didn't like the black and white(lolz), he said ''madam if you like cry till you fall into labour, no 3D scan for you''.

I remember a particular day he came back from work quite late, around 10:30pm,i told him i wanted to eat rice and ofada stew,he said ''madam this is Abuja not Lagos, where am i supposed to get that tonight?''

As usual i started crying. Uncle dressed up, called his friend that lives close by and together they went in search of rice and ofada stew, he came back almost 12am, i took a spoon of the rice and told him it doesn't have pepper so i can't eat it, i could see fire and brimstone in his eyes(lolz) he just hissed and left me at the dinning table.

Fast forward to Sept 6, i was watching a movie and i felt the urge to pee, i went to pee, came back and still felt my panties wet, i wiped, sat on the bed and after a while i sat up and saw that the bed was slightly damp and my cloth was too. I texted my mom-inlaw and called my husband, i told him i will wait till the contraction starts, he said ''i know you are very stubborn but please not today''. my mom-inlaw came to take me to the hospital (General hospital).

I was checked and the matron said my water has broken so i have to be induced. A tablet was inserted in my lady part, other women in labour were screaming, singing, speaking in tongues but i was pressing my phone and laughing at them.

Later on a drip was placed and the first pain hit me like a soldiers slap, then i understood what others were going through. The nurse came to check me and said i was progressing well, she said i should lie on the bed, i hissed and squatted on the bed, the matron said i should lie down, i told her ''abeg madam leave me like this''.. when i couldn't bear it anymore i removed the drip myself and kept on getting down, climbing and squatting on the bed. It got to a point i called my husband on the phone and begged him to pay for epidural ( epidural is 50k in Asokoro) he said i should relax, i shouted @ him and called him a wicked man, that he doesn't understand what I'm going through....

I hung up and after some minutes called him back and begged him to borrow me the money, i will personally pay back, the nurse then told me i can no longer take epidural because i'm gone past 6cm, i insulted her and called her wicked too, anyway 10 and half hours later i was screaming i wanted to poo,no one answered me at first but i kept on shouting, the nurse came and checked and my baby was already crowning, after the 3rd push the hairiest baby i had ever seen came out but didn't cry,i started praying and begging God to please let her cry,the nurse turned her upside down, shook her and my baby gave a loud cry.

I had a tiny tear but i was given anesthetic before she started sewing.

My baby is almost five months old and it's been an amazing journey. I pray for everyone waiting on God, this year 2019,God will give you double for your trouble, he did it for me despite the fact that doctors said i had a slim chance of conceiving, he will do it for you too''.
Thanks Stella.
