  4. Our past and present leaders failed the youths woefully. Imagine the crowd turn out. All our leaders that benefited free education, good job with pay and nice cars in those days are the ones inflicting untold hardship on the youths of this country.
    Education zero
    Electricity zero
    Job opportunities zero
    Good roads nko zero
    Good healthcare zero
Nothing I mean nothing is working in this country. All we hear everyday is one looting story or the other.
I weep for my beloved country.
    Nigeria which way forward?
I don't want to believe our dear mother land is irredeemable.

People travel hours just to go and stay in line hours before.....did you know tiwa savage was once a contestant for Britain’s got talent? Not about being lazy so zip it. It’s about how big the show has become

  17. It is really sad seeing these pictures of lazy Nigerian youths! Yes, very lazy mentally and physically! You must be equally mentally lazy to blame any government, whether present or past, for this situation. I am an employer of labor and their are vacancies in most private organizations that pay reasonable monthly remunerations of between N100,000 - N180,000 to fresh graduates, in ICT, Accounting, Finance, etc (and not those "sufferhead" sales or marketing jobs), with good prospects of career growth. The major issue is getting smart graduates who can hold their own and learn fast. Writing a sentence of good English, is like the Nigerian civil war; not to talk of expressing/defending your degree or course of study. No private sector employer will employ just for the sake of it, especially in these tough economic times. It is very obvious that we currently have a set of unserious minded youths who want to live large without going through the normal phases and little rigours of life. What a shame!

    1. You see your life now, "I am an employer of labor and their are vacancies" "their are" instead of "There are", you're among those not writing correct English, take it or leave it.

    5. Eerrrrrm and your English is fantastically superb!!

      @their are vacancies?

Yes, there are vacancies, only if you could help but you would not. We know your type.

      Delete
    6. I agree with the part about writing sentences in English, what I do not agree with is the 'pay reasonably', there are only a few firms willing to pay reasonably for what they expect from graduates. How many Banks pay graduates that much? How many Audit firms give a net pay that much to graduates? How many reasonable organisations do we even have in Nigeria that gives you 'great career prospect'? Don't sit in Lagos and decide the entire Nigeria is bubbling with 'their (an obvious English error) vacancies in most private organisations with reasonable monthly remunerations' we wouldn't be wailing if these opportunities were open to all. Not all of us can live in Lagos. Mr Employer of Labor, please when next you have this sort of juicy vacancies do us good here and let us know. Thank you.

    7. Chai... bvs that are so eager to send their CVs should beware of scam oooo... SCAM alert!!!! Nor be only employer of labour

    8. Starry and Anon 15.22, was that the only error both of you could pick out from my comments of over 120 words (laugh)? Do your phones come up with unintended words when you type in a hurry and do not cross check thereafter? I will allow it slide, but feel so sorry for both of you and other lazy Nigerian youths. Just for your information, I have recruited and currently mentoring two serious minded youths I met through this platform, along my career path. I'm not too sure they have any more free time to read or make frequent comments here (laugh), cos I have pushed each to start up the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) and ACCA professional exams, respectively. Anyway, focus more on the intention of my message.

    10. Anon 14:43,please don't be upset that people dived for one error you made and celebrated it. Critical thinking and rationality are expensive to acquire for some people here. Low esteem and disdain...if you know what l mean. You made enemies the moment you said 'employer of labour'. I salute your contribution . Thank you for that observation.

  24. Hmmmmmmm Stella and my fellow blog visitors what my eyes saw today at the Port Harcourt audition venue today eeh.
I struggled and struggled to make it to the hall, successfully got inside after the whole squeezing and yelling, got my tag and finally we were called in (in tens) into the different audition rooms at hotel presidential and all the interviewer could ask us is why do we want to go for bbn. Sincerely gave a good answer(which my fellow participants acknowledged) as I'm an aspiring fashion designer and need a platform to showcase my creativity and learn more and secondly that I want to be a voice for the girl child on sex education, I want to educate our diverse communities on the societal issues related to the girl child and as a public figure it will be easy for me to achieve this. Lo and behold she (interviewer) said she's looking for something else and picked one guy that was talking about how he can backbite and cause issues btw a group of persons and another girl that said she likes to learn how to play games (I guess she was talking about the arena games but didn't say it as it should).
Well as eka rightly said, they ain't looking for talents or people wey get head for their shoulders.
As I came out I was really down cos I know how much I prepared for this, thinking that bbn is a platform that's looking for talents, intellectuals or brands.
Well I'm kinda happy because of the experience, I just hope I get a platform that would help me achieve my dreams and purpose😌
