President Buhari May Dissolve His Cabinet

President Muhammadu Buhari has spoken on dissolving his cabinet before May 29, 2019.

Buhari’s Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, who appeared on Arise Television on Thursday, said it was likely he would dissolve his cabinet. Adesina also said that Buhari will not spend a long time before appointing those that will work with him.

Adesina said, “One thing about governance is that the first mandate was for four years. That mandate lapses on May 29, and shortly before May 29, the president is likely going to officially dissolve his government. That is the way it is usually done.

“He says thank you to everybody that he has called to work with him and then he dissolves that government officially.

"Then when he is inaugurated for a second time, he now reconstitute a government; he appoints his personal aides, he forms his cabinet, he appoints other people to fill other positions.”

He said the president had already promised to appoint his Ministers as soon as possible.
In 2015,it took President Buhari spent over six months to appoint his Ministers.

  8. Giving them ample time to stuff their faces with whatever they can lay their hands on. In between, I don’t take whatever he says to heart because he is quick to deny it down the road.
