TV CEO Raymond Dokpesi Arrested At Abuja Airport....

Raymond Dokpesi, founder of DAAR Communications, owners of African Independent television (AIT), was on Friday arrested at Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja.

The media mogul was returning to the country, after seeking medical treatment in Dubai, when he was picked up around 4pm.

AIT confirmed the arrest via its Twitter, saying no reason was given for the arrest.

*It probably has to do with the Dasukigate trial he is going through or maybe he jumped bail to get treated....whichever it is,we will soon know...

  1. Even if he has a trial, shouldn't he treat himself as to stay alive for his case? I wouldn't want to make further statement on this until reasons are given for his arrest.

  3. When you switch parties, your thievery gets forgiven!! Until they do the Jerry Rawlings style, e go hard oo!!
Even people we believed in a little like Keyamo failed us. Even Charly boy collect bribe. I will always respect Gani Fawehinmi, Dr Beko Kuti, Dr Olukoye Kuti, Tai Solarin. Those ones never compromised their integrity.

  4. The game aka witch-hunt continues. If PMB, truly wants to persecute those who have milked our national treasury dry, almost all past Governors, Ministers, Perm Secs., Commissioners and Presidents need to be arrested. Dem all thief.

  6. They released him after an hour or so because of the media outcry. It's good to own a station sha. According to the list released by Lai Mohammed, he is one of those being tried for Dasukigate. Accordingly, he should have obtained a court order before leaving the country but he could also have been flown out in an emergency. It is well with Nigeria
