What kind of business can one start with 50k in these hard times in Nigeria?......Did i just say 50k?Some people are starting businesses with 5k and boasting about it but do such business grow?

As a student what can one do in school to make ends meet?Someone said she started indomie business and is selling...what else can be done?

There are some states that you can start a business that will flourish but in some states, such business die...can we identify the these good and bad business surviving or killing states?

  1. When I was in school (Uni), I sold fried fish and meat. Trust me the gain is much especially if you liase with those meat sellers to cut a sizeable chunk. I gained double of what I bought. I also sold corndogs. The gain is much durong departmental parties but that meat and fish though stressful but it's worth it.

  3. A very good business idea is to search for those doing clearance sale on thier goods or be a dropshipper.

i currently want to clear children jeans and dungaree (age 2 to 11years) at the rate of 800 per pair... they are new jeans and stock. You can start with as low as 20k and resell each for nothing less than a 2k.. we all know how much new jeans cost..

Easter is coming... you dont even need to convince people much before they have a reason to buy cloth for thier kids..

another business idea is to be a dropshipper..

i send picture of my goods (sport slippers, bags, earings, childrens jeans, sunshades etc)... to you, give you good prices. you then upload on your wall and add your money.. if there is a customer, you let me know, i either deliver to you or deliver straight to your customer . The money is sent to you, then you transfer my share and hold on to yours..

    1. I was introduced to this by naijataxi service but I am just being sceptical. If the middle man don't send my money nko????.

Thanks so much for explaining this dropshipping

    2. @Olori,Drop-shipping is better and safer when you know the sellers shop physically and if its closer to you,or if the seller is your friend who deals on that product..

If for example you stay close to Balogun market, you can walk into a shop and talk with the owner..He/she would allow you snap as much as you want and then you upload..
When a customer needs it,you get the payment, walk down to the store and buy that product then keep your profit and send the goods to your customer..

You can even just get the sellers phone number and when you get an order, you call him/her and they deliver it directly to the person while you do little or nothing..

I used this technique years ago while I was at the East and never knew the name was even Drop-shipping..kikikikiki!!

      Thank God for life..

  4. I started my OK business with #10,000 and it yielded over #5,000 profit.Thats how is started growing. OK business is a very lucrative business, be it bedspread, bra and panties or wears.

On my way to Cotonou, I met a woman who has been in the business for over 30years with 2buildings and all her children are graduates.I tapped from her wealth of knowledge. Now I don't need to go again, my bale will be delivered.

I heard about storing palm oil when it is cheap and sell when it becomes expensive.Still doing more research on that.

    1. Olori, palm oil business is a good business but you need to know more about the market else, you will be given palm oil that will be thick as stone over time if you don't sell or is not used on time. The taste of the palm oil also matters. So please do your study well before venturing into it.

    2. palm oil is good but verrrryyyy risky... i mean verryyyyyy risky

    3. Thanks Eniafe, and I heard it has a lifespan too

    4. Yes it is. Another thing is going to the village to check the palm oil your self before buying except you have a trusted person you can send there. Am talking from experience o.

  5. Print your flyers .Go to middle class to upper class neighborhood. Offer to do one time full home cleaning. State your price. Dress right and be ready to work. Two, learn some small skills for fixing things .fix toilet handle , change tap head +faucet). Clear clogged sink. Print flyers. Offer the services. Learn to paint a little. Offfer to paint kitchens and living rooms and bathrooms.many homes need touch up from time to time. Offer good price .get a good source for the paint and all. Providing services to the middle class is very lucrative. Just don't he expensive and do a good job so you get more referrals

  7. For students, try first grade female clothes, pants and bra, jewelries... Always have the right attitude..

One thing I have noticed about business is consistency, always be available no matter what, the beginning can be very rough but with the right attitude, you will succeed. You needed to see me on Sunday with my big belle doing makeup and tying Gele.. I had to ask one Man to come and help tighten my last client Gele as waist hook me... Chai!!! All the women started laughing Iya Beji Pele oo... Na their own be that oo,5k Don enter my pocket.. I love what I do

Don't go into any business someone else is making profit from it, find out what you are good at and you will become the best at what you do...

  9. Just like martins said, drop shipping is very OK.
    Is safe and very reliable..

I go enter Kano market, snap Ankara tire, people place order n buy.. I keep save my profit.. Like that like that..

If you want to start drop shipping, I have a shop in Abuja, you can walk in and snap as much Ankara you can snap.

All you need to do is advertise those Ankara on your page with your price, like that like that, u keep ur profit.

And if you also want to start Ankara business too, I can guide you on how to do it.

I sell wholesale price that's very very low for you to start well..

From there you can make #50k in 3 weeks and you make ur money..

  10. Hmmmmmmm.

Well,I am into building materials most especially Dangote cement and i started that business with #2,160,000 in order to be able to get one trailer of dangote cement(900bags).

Also, there are several building materials you cam venture into most especially for those staying where builders call "New site".

With 50k u can start plumbing materials business,u dont need much knowledge, all u need to know is the names giving to those pipes and their sizes,e.g k-rod,elbow,ball guage,1inc pipe etc..with that,u are good to go.

Food is another business which can never go off the line only if u are a good cook.

It's what has been helping me for a while in school now. I sell to these agbo sellers, sometimes I help them buy from the village directly and still make a little profit

  24. I was bored being a house wife and eating ad sleeping. Hubby won't permit me to work. One day I came across this English plain and pattern fabric business on SM. I saved money and started with 150k. I was surprised I made almost 100k profit with no stress ( just calling people on phone and marketing it on SM). After weeks of continueous sales, I made enough money to start buying the raw materials myself and paying people to cut it and I wouldn't even lie, am cashing out everyday. Las las nothing sweet pass business especially this my own that gives me time to go for my driving school.

  25. You can start shopping foodstuffs and groceries for busy and aged people, maybe on weekends or taking it as a full time job.Add your charges to it,logistics and you realise profits from the cost of the items as well.Everyone eats and most busy people do not have time to shop for things. You collect money for services and your time.A big example is jumia food.
