Iya Ibeji Series -When Siblings Are The Obstacle..

Sometimes the enemy is from within.

A lady told me that when she was dating her husband and he took her home for introducing, she said they spent the night over at his parents place and the next morning his sisters called her aside and told her things about their brother.

They asked her why she wanted to marry someone like their brother?
She asked what was wrong with him and they said " fine girl like you so you no see better person for this life, na our brother wey no know himself".

They said he was broke, he had no swag, they said lots of silly things about him, they told her she isn't old so she shouldn't be desperate. The lady said she was worried, why would his siblings back bite him so. Some of the silly things they said were true because she had noticed them about him but it wasn't so bad but why do this to your own brother?

She couldn't bear it and she told him, he got angry and she begged him not to confront them. He did and surprisingly the sisters were nonchalant they said "abi na lie?"

Anyways siblings hardly keep malice for long, and men don't know how to, so they settled and this lady married him and today they are blessed with kids.

So I asked her about her relationship with her sisters in law and she said they are cool. She said if their brother that they slander refuse to keep malice with them why should she?

She is friends with her in laws and they still tease her about marrying their ugly brother.

Recently I heard the story if a widower in his early 70s. He is looking for a wife and there has been lots of referrals. So he got someone he liked, a woman in her late 50s and he took her home. His siblings said they don't like her, reason being that she is too busty. They said that kind of booby can injure their brother. Really? But their brother wasn't complaining o. They said they want someone to take care of their brother and not give him extra load.

That was how they jeopardize his relationship. The man is still single as I write.

Siblings are usually the coolest people but sometimes they could be a pain in the butt. ......

*na waaaaaaaaaah!!!

My elder sibling is a narcissist.Prentends to be concerned about you so that she will have what to use as gossip fodder with her loser friends.Ran into my ex,exchanged numbers and started making noise that he was disturbing her(He didn't even know we were sisters but she did and said nothing) and she refused to allow me tell him.Long story short,i told him and he backed off immediately. This is one of many stories about her,it's crazy.

  6. I'm blessed with great siblings and we look out for each other and when it comes to marriage
We seek the face of God rather than try to over scrutinise the supposed wife/husband to be .
Cos we dont want anyone dividing our family for us ,
We are knit in love .

  7. Make I yarn una the reason? 😊
When a Naija (Pharisee) girl never marry, she no dey take eyes see any other marriage wey dey wan show.
If she sees two fowls (sisi fowl and okokpa) dey waka together, she go separate them fiaaaaaaam!
    If she come marry nko?
Whosai, as long as the other sisi (sister, friend) wan marry persin wey be bigger ATM than her own,
she go scatter am. She fit even dey supply fork dey record come give the sisi make she offload her horseband.

  8. A seventy year old that cannot stand his ground, he never ready.

As for the lady's sisters in Law, they probably did it from a place of love, I for one would want my prospective in Law to tell my things about their brother, they should know him better than I do. It's now left to me to filter the good from the bad and make my decision.

  9. As the first child, I have the responsibility of taking care of my younger ones. We are one happy family, we argue and fight to make one another better. But we are no pain in the ass. Parental upbringing matters. πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ

  10. I have two step brothers. The elder one is so responsible and caring. I used to think his wife would be very lucky. The younger one is a typical playboy in short the blacksheep of the family. When the blacksheep brought home one quiet and nice lady. I was tempted to tell her to look another way and not destroy her future. Thank God, I held my tongue. The elder one started having marital issues 3 months into his marriage and when I hear of stuff he does to his wife, I wonder if he's the same guy, I used to say his future wife is lucky, their marriage is barely hanging on by a thread 8 years and it's been hellish for the woman. The blacksheep on the other hand has been married for 6 years with 3 kids, and no one has ever settled a fight between them. You see them always happy and enjoying a peaceful union. Imagine if I jumped thinking I was protecting the girl, not knowing I was actually separating her from her God-given husband. Please let's all live and let live.

  12. I would say the same to anyone that comes to marry my brother, he beat his ex wife till she left, he's a dead beat, he harasses my parents the list goes on and on..
The only son thing entered his head so he is so entitled and feels like he can get away with everything.
I wish one day his matter will reach insta blog so that his eyes will clear.

  15. Same happened to me. My sil told me that she won't marry her kind of brother. That her brother is so harsh. Eventually her brother turned out the best husband ever. I love him so much and he doesn't play with anything that concerns me.
