“Today 5th April 2019 … our Criminal Investigation Department, Panti has arraigned dismissed Inspector Ogunyemi Olalekan in Ebute Meta Magistrate Court and remanded in prison custody,” Lagos State police spokesman Bala Elkana said in a statement.
Nigeria Police on Thursday said it dismissed Olalekan for shooting Kolade Johnson in Lagos.
Johnson was hit by a stray bullet shot by the men of Anti-Cultism Squad on Sunday while watching the English Premier League match between Liverpool and Tottenham.
The police spokesman said Olalekan’s action was “Unlawful and Unnecessary exercise of authority by using unnecessary violence, by using AK 47 rifle on the deceased in total neglect to the provisions of Force Order 237 on the use of Firearms.”
I pray this corrupt country gives this boy's family justice by prosecuting this retard of a police man accordingly. I pray he rots in jail. Such a handsome man gone like that. I pray God comforts his mother.

ReplyDeleteI can remember a day i went to GT at Ebute metta. I was on my way to use the ATM. My new born son was even in the car with the nanny. I had seen a police man harrasing an okada man near me. He corked his gun to threaten the guy. He must have forgotten to uncork it or smthn. Next thing I just saw gravel allover me. The gun had gone off and a shot went off into the gravel as it was pointing down.

The way I screamed and cursed the police. The only thing he cld say is. Madam but the bullet no hit you na,abi e hit you. I cursed living day light out of him.
