  13. Just be careful how you define your type and not your type....
A friend was narrating her story recently about how she used one mumu boy to do shakara and was just using him as errand boy during their undergraduate days.

Interestingly the boy love her so much he stayed and would be begging her like mad.
At some point when the boy saw that he was really irritating my friend he came to tell her that he wanted to consider another lady within the estate who happens to be our junior in secondary and who had been giving him eye.

my friend said the way he even said it that she was irritated and shouted at him "good riddiance to bad rush". Unfortuantely today she cries to tell that story because

    i. teh guy went ahead and started dating the said junior.
ii. did some IT certification and started working then got a job outside Nigeria
iii. married teh junior girl and they now have a beautiful family and always lovey dovey.
After this story i went to check them out on facebook and i was also emotional.

for my friend she went into polygamy and not enjoining it at all.
so everytime she just says if only she was wiser....

ladies be careful how you define your type or not your type.
Always ask few years down the line what will matter. that is what you should prayerfully pursue when you are ready to marry dont always be naive.

    1. Your friend's village people used her destiny to play ten ten. And she allowed them.

I nearly ended up like your friend. My husband loved me from a distance for years. When he approached me, cos he didn't look like what I thought he'd look like, I nearly refused. I wasn't even looking at money and my husband is a fine man so I don't even know what I was looking for. I didn't say no immediately cos it was my birthday and I didn't want to be mean. I was honestly going to refuse but a friend told me not to useless my life cos I was about to send away my husband. That I'm one of those who can't marry just anybody cos God has chosen my husband. I did the smartest thing I've ever done in my life - I told God, "If this is my husband, make me love him." I didn't sleep with him or take a dime from him. He kept offering me gifts and I kept refusing and he got frustrated. He thought it was cos I was trying to say his gifts weren't good enough for me. Truth is that was me laying out my fleece for God. Sleeping with him was out of the question cos I'm team no sex before marriage. But I know that gifts can confuse someone. If I no collect money or gift from you, make I see how the love wan take enter my heart. God showed Himself as my husband's character began to unfold for me to see. It took time but one day I was like, "Come oh, I really love this guy! God, don't allow him marry someone else abeg." The first time I told my husband, "I love you" for the first time, he was so shocked that he didn't talk to me for a couple of days. I gave him space, I didn't even know when his people had found their way to my village to ask questions to know whether road clear. He surmounted obstacles that I could never have imagined he would cos he doesn't talk plenty. Called me up one early morning and we had a conversation. Two days later, I got call from village. We got married less than 30 days later. Knowing what I know now, if I didn't marry this man, even God would have been upset and disappointed. Cos my village witches would have been dancing surugede on my head.

    2. It doesn't change the fact that she never really wanted him nor does it change the fact that he was never her type. She just felt bad because her life didn't turn out the way she wanted. No one deserves to be someone's option. Glad the guy didn't marry her and he is happy. As long as she is alive who says she won't also get her happy ending?

  15. What does your type mean? Sometimes, you'll think someone is your type, only to find out that it's Mills&Boons or Hollywood films lying to you. You're basing what is meant to be a lifetime decision on what someone looks like right now. And they'll give you drama and scatter your life. Even Hollywood, they're confused, that's why their marriages don't last.

I'm very attracted to my husband but he isn't what I used to imagine he would have looked like. But God had mercy on my life and opened my eyes. If not, I shudder.

  18. I think this is true. Let me relate to marriage, I have always done my type and it failed twice, and the relationships fail too, now I don't want to do my type again, make I kuku do another type, who knows, it may favour me. Meanwhile my little sis said to me one day that I shouldn't judge a man with his present condition.

I'm a testimony on this matter. My husband is a plus size,at 6feet3inches,I met him when I was really heart broken. & I was like no na,he's not my type. I said he is a giant & I will be like ant where he is,what didn't I say kwanu! Lol
One of my friend said abeg agree for him o,its slim average height girls like you that marry this kinda man o. Anyway based on say bobo was really nice & had enough pepper I tagged along . Today I am grateful to my God cos he is the best thing that has ever happened to my entire life,he is super romantic,I can't imagine I almost missed .
