Nigerian Musician Tiwa Savage Signs International Deal With UMG

Universal Music Group (UMG), World leader in entertainment music has announced an exclusive global recording agreement with former Mavin first lady and Nigeria's hottest musician Tiwa Savage.

Under the agreement, Tiwa’s music henceforth will be released internationally through UMG’s operations in more than 60 countries Worldwide.











She says"My biggest goal is to make Africa proud. I’m so excited for this moment and I’m thankful to Sir Lucian Grainge and my new UMG family for their belief in my dreams. I’m looking forward to this next chapter in my career."

    I do hope this will not be the last we will hear from you.... I don't trust all these deals between well grounded African artists and these Americans.
    They have a way of pushing African artists who go to them to sign deals to the background.

  14. I mean, congrats, but those huge international labels usually don't treat African artists right. Burna Boy said it. Let's hope her own case shall be different sha. I hope she didnt give them complete ownership of her music, otherwise she will be deadlocked if she ever wants to leave. Hers is to make the hits. If she signs to their label and they realize she's doesn't make consistent smash hits, they'll drop her like hot food.
