BBNaija 2019 - A Parade Of Nigerians In The Diaspora With 'Foreign' Accents

Some of the current BBNaija season 4 housemates seem to have Ajebutter accent (some,if not all)and they cannot even seem to get their pidgin English accent right..........Well,will you blame them when it looks like big brother made his choices from Nigerian based in the diaspora when local Nigerians flooded the venue`?

The other day one of the Ladies was speaking pidgin and referring to person as 'phesun' in a very foreign accent and i was so shocked...COME ON!!!

Who else has noted the foreign accents in competition and also noted that sparks are beginning to fly around?hmmmmm i am thinking if these housemates have the foreign mentality, making out on national TV would not be a big deal.....................chai pepper oooooooooooooo!!!

LOL.

  2. I noticed it too ooooo. When i watched it two days ago i was irritated with the way most of them speak i had to change channel. There's different between faking American accent and truly having the accent inbuilt. They should be themselves, most of them are faking it i can tell from the way the speak (the incoherence are too much).

    1. Mercy and Thelma have Nnewi 'azzent', it cant be hidden no matter how dey try. Kims accent changes depending on who she is talking to, if she is talkin to Mike, she uses yankee accent and if she is talkin to someone like Frodd, she uses normal naija accent

    2. Unless you mean Mercy and Tacha, they ain't faking..if anything I'm certain Avala is actually trying to hide hers.

Most are Brit Nigerian / Nigerian American.

  3. Seyi, Thelma and Tasha are not forcing this accent things... infact Seyi is one mad guy!!
His face when Tasha was twerking would be good for meme, just like we have Rico has King of meme for last year set, Seyi would fit in perfectly for this year’s!!
I just like the Seyi guy sha but I’m indifference about the girls

  4. Most of them have very fake accents. We here it over here a lot and it's very embarrassing. Better to speak clearly and enunciate your words properly in your original 'native' accent than being fake.

  7. No voting for me , never. They’re all doing well & expect people struggling to eat a meal a day to come & vote for them. So disappointed in their choice of housemates this year, no poor person among them. Saw Mike with one A-list American actor on one blog. Their problem , abegi.

  8. Ella's fake accent is the most annoying. Diane is a sweetheart. She's bn herself so far!

    1. Oh yes you are right. People most have forgotten that ELLA went for Project Fame and we heard her speak. Last night conversation with one girl asking her questions was really annoying with that accent

  10. I've not started watching yet, just getting updates from comments online but I really pity those who wasted their time for the yeye auditions.

  11. To me they should have it made it a strictly Naija based affair. BBN should have a taste of the raw, street and undiluted Naija/African flavour. If it was BBA then we could have said let them come from anywhere with their oyinbo.
All these fake and original accent everywhere in my opinion has defeated the essence of the Naija factor. Why not pick struggling and up coming people in the auditions, give them that chance to be heard, seen and make money. 80% of these guys here are either very well to or made. Give the real hustlers a chance.

  12. I have been a fan of BBN for years. But I must say the truth, this year's show is going to be boring.I can't fathom how u will call a show BBN and u will choose Nigerians living in diaspora. They shouldn't have cal for audition this yr.

  15. I hope the public doesn't support the current BBN season so that the organisers would stop selecting contestants from the diaspora. None of these contestants were in the sun to get into the BBN house.

It's so unfair that the privileged children of the rich are the ones getting the opportunities that hustlers in the country used to go for to grow their brand. It's now everywhere especially in entertainment. How many grass to grace actors and actresses do we have now? Many of the upcoming actors and actresses are children of the rich. All the Adesua and co are from well to do families, lived/studied abroad and came back gang. Mo Abudu only gives opportunities to those of her class.

Mark my words, there would no Genevieve Nnaji, Ini Edo or Mercy Johnson in this generation. I used these actresses as case studies because they were not from privileged backgrounds.

  20. I am so loving this set, well mannered , sexy ladies and gents .When Biggie announced, that the store room is open you will only hear Oh! compare this with last session. Yesterday night, the guys were cooking for the ladies, so interesting, though they started at 6.00pm and ended around 9.00pm.They have all told their stories of how they entered the house none of them entered through the back door . They are all using accents so that they will hear each other because a lot of Yankees are in the house. You people should let them be after all they are all Nigerians. As Mike said, he just want to mix and enjoy with his brothers and sisters. This set is so lit!!.

  21. this year bbnaija seems like a boring Hollywood movie, the only housemates with original accents are kaffy, mike, ike and avala the rest accents are fake, why do we fancy foreigners more than the main people in our country, I am not voting this year, let the united state and the united kingdom citizens vote for them

    ReplyDelete

    1. Mumu that was what you all said at the beginning of last year

  22. Stella how many of them are from diaspora compared to the total number of housemates . The question is are they not Nigerians? They flew down from the abroad to participate. Let’s stop discriminating , they want to come back home let’s encourage them.

    1. Mike is not a Nigerian!

      Delete
    2. If they want to come back home they should do that neutrally besides we that are born breed here never die finish , they are not Nigerians the are half Nigerians, am so sure am not voting any of them this year, rubbish bbn year, the send the innocent youths to the streets suffering while they have selected the children of these same people ripping this country bare to steal the only platform poor people grow their brand, that's how they destroy the Music Industry to be for the previlage, the moved into movie industry, thank God for asabanollywood & yourba nollywood who still consider poor talented youths else they will take that over too, now they have storm reality shows too, like parents like children ndi oshi opportunity. They want everything good in this country to happen to them. But God pass them. Yesssss am shouting & am encouraging anybody that cares not to vote nor watch bbn this yr,

  23. Maybe they want Biggie to fill the house with beggars and almaajiris. It is not a poverty alleviation programme. Once you are a Nigerian even if you stay in d space you are welcomed.
