    1. I concur, Obasanjo.
Yar’adua can’t compete favorably because of his ill health.

(Well most answers will be limited sha, how many experienced the Nnamdi Azikiwe/ Shehu Shagari / Ayeolowo eras?)😏

    5. Obasanjo.Nigeria was delivered on a clean slate to him. He should have set a standard but he failed woefully.

    1. What exactly did he implement as a ground changing policy in his 2years of presidency?

What many thought was a performing economy by him was nothing but a spill over of good governance from obasanjo's time as president.

Yaradua NEVER ACHIEVED ANYTHING AS PRESIDENT in this country.

    2. @18:38
It was due to the above policies that the GSM companies considered Nigeria a business-worthy
place. Nobody pours investments in places where corruption reigns supreme.
But while Baba Iyabo worked for the Nigerian good, his deputy was looting.

    5. Anon 19.03 trust me, if his deputy was looting as u alledged, Buhari would have long used it against him and wouldn't have allowed him to contest...

    6. πŸ™πŸΌ Bless you.
And he did well when it came to being blind to tribal/religious fault-lines. He put square pegs in square holes irrespective of their origin/religion. He went over and beyond to source for technocrats for sensitive positions in the country and this helped awaken the economy. He was also a very good administrator, fully (I repeat FULLY) in charge of the affairs of the country he was governing, no rubbish CABAL instructing him on what to do or say.
Make no mistake, he was also corrupt, very corrupt. However, show me another president that had as much positive impact as he did.

If Buhari tried that, all the "big wigs" of his government would have been roped in: Bola, Fash, Osho,
Sylva, even OBJ who was his boss in the Army. Army people would have been on his neck because they don't
      work like that.
      A looting continuaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

  5. GEJ with the way he tackled the dreaded ebola and social media bullying.

    Obasanjo..his carrot n stick method.

  7. Late yaradua unfortunately he didn't stay long... Followed by OBJ he was the smartest and have character but of course he is too selfish and can destroy destroy a million to save a thousand.
The others don't deserve rating, one is too weak and the other too strong albeit both character is leading us to debt through massive corruption and cabal like administration.
Who will be our Messiah, I don't trust anything anyone say anymore, revolution, decentralization, true federalism, etc. RIP yaradua
Nigeria ojojumo l'anji riya, wonni kamaasadua, where is Mr yaradua

  8. Abdulsalami Abubakar a retired Nigerian Army General he was Military Head of State from 9 June 1998 until 29 May 1999. He is my best Nigerian leader till date. I felt really bad when he left and stayed by his promise of handing over power to a civilian government (democratic government). Democracy wrecked Nigeria πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬.... The democratic government have done more harms than good to the people of Nigeria.

I will not fault Sani Abacha military head of state 1993-1998... His government was strict but, everything was fine in Nigeria. Government officials actually did what they were placed in office to do.

    1. But abdusalami didn't do anything na. No development but I'll say he was a good military president.

    2. Ms A, if I may ask, what happened to all the looted funds General Abubakar recovered? Especially Abachas' own?
What did he ever do to better the country? My sister, Please refresh my memory perhaps I've forgotten...

    3. What was fine during abacha regime? Have heard of abacha stove, life was more difficult then than now

  9. My bad, I thought the question was from 1990 to 1999.

The best civilian president so far in Nigeria was Mathew Obasanjo, the no nonsense man.

Yar'Adua did well too but he was already too weak before he even became the president. Obasanjo just had to keep to his promise, I mean, he had promised his cell mate that he will never forget him and Yar'Adua was the promise.

  17. President Olusegun Obasanjo is the president Nigeria has had since the inception of democracy.
Let me not forget to state that Obasanjo is also the architect of our failed democracy.

The rest presidents, only followed suit in the blue print of democratic recklessness and corruption that laid as a foundation for our country Nigeria.

  24. GEJ. In 2014 he donated 3.5million dollars and sent 591 volunteers to Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone to Combat ebola. He successfully eliminated the plague in Nigeria without the help of any foreign government. He is the one president we had that ruled with his heart.
