Former Presidential Candidate Omoyele Sowore Reportedly Arrested By DSS

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, has been reportedly arrested by men of the Department of State Services, DSS.

Sowore, the convener of #RevolutionNow Protests, was said to have been picked up at his apartment in the early hours of Saturday.

The politician posted a distress tweet at exactly 1:25 am which reads, “DSS invades Sowore’s.”

Later he added another tweet which could be a confirmation that his phone must have been seized while trying to raise the alarm about his arrest.

Sowore’s arrest may not be unconnected with his recent parley with the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

The DSS is yet to confirm the arrest.

Can any group attempt to "occupy Nigeria" under Buhari?

  3. His arrest has to do with his plans with other groups to stage a protest on Monday and not anything related to Nnamdi Kanu else they would have arrested him the moment he came back from that visit. Why wait till two days to the planned protest before arresting him?

Remember, it was the same way Tuface was threatened and he surrendered. Omoloye Sowore refused to bow to pressure when contacted according to an insider, the reason for his abduction by DSS to avoid the protest taking place on Monday. Let's see how this will all play out.
