    1. Mercy is very good, extremely talented. But I don't understand most of these new generation actresses Efe, Etinosa and a few names I can't remember.

      Delete
    2. I don't agree. Mercy is really good in all the "poor girl" or "runs girl" kind of roles like Dumebi. Give her roles like playing a business professional woman and the like, she fumbles.

I noticed most nigerian actresses are stereotyped to play particular kinds of roles.

I think Sola Sobowale, Joke Silva, Genevieve, Omotola and my dear Ree Ree (Rita) are the only ones who have played diverse roles well.

    3. @14:27, You gorrit, Mercy Johnson delivers beautifully when it has to do with local, village girl, in fact its like she's living her life. But give her something posh, she won't deliver as expected.

These are the names I can remember at the drop of a hat but there are so many amazing Yoruba actors that naming these few is a disservice to other amazing acts, but these ones I listed, even if I'm going to work and their movies come on, I'll start feeling bad like I'm missing something.,but trust Dstv, they repeat movies all the time.. Lol, I love love love Yoruba movies,in fact, I'm a Yoruba Mafia.
