Some people have a PHD in abbreviating and changing some words......

Some people say.....

- Sist instead of Sis
- Dint instead Didn't

  19. I dont think pipo(people), wee(will), pelzon(person), yelz(yes) and the likes are abbreviations. It's just a way of sounding funky. No serious minded person will use them in a formal setting except your village pipo are on your case.
I use BRB, SMH, Bcos, BTW etc, atimes when I'm too lazy to type them out in full.

    1. Pipo and wee do not sound funky even in informal setting.

    2. Pipo, wee, kee, nau etc is just phonetically spelling out Nigerian English exactly as pronounced every day on our streets. Abi is that not how most Nigerians speak when they are in their element?

As for the pelzon, yelz etc, that’s basically they way Falz the Bad Guy and Jenifa speak. It’s not that serious guys.

  21. I strongly believe abbreviations are used to reduce letters in a word, but when you see some with almost same or even more, it sucks! words like- YHU (YOU), WEE(WILL), GURL (GIRL), OW(HOW), AIIDY(ALREADY), LOLZZZZZZZZZ

  24. The way K annoys the hell outta me ehn, I pray I don’t angrily fling my phone one day...once u put K just know the conversation has ended for that day... I have a friend that does it all the time and I usually correct her, she learnt the hard way when she foolishly write k in her test... the lecturer purposely singled out her own for everyone to see!

  31. 'Am' is the one I can't stand. Meanwhile, Stella, I thought this was going to be a more interesting post. Your examples don't match my expectations. I was thinking more in terms of like Acronyms or something. I'll keep thinking though.
