Presidency Debunks Buhari Sidelining Osinbajo In Governance

The Presidency has dismissed claims that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo had been sidelined following President Muhammadu Buhari’s inauguration of an Economic Advisory Team (EAC) to replace the Economic Management Team (EMT).

While the EMT was headed by Osinbajo, the newly constituted EAC will report directly to President Buhari.

Speaking as a guest on Channels TV’s Politics Today, on Wednesday, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said all that the president had done particularly this week was just to “tweak governance and get the best for Nigerians”.

He also maintained that the presidency remains one and that there’s been too much suspicion and different kinds of inferences which he believes are only aimed at driving a wedge between both the President and the Vice President.

“The Vice President is the number two man in the country. the new economic advisory body can also relate with the Vice President as necessary.

“It’s just some Nigerians who want to drive a wedge between the President and the VP, that read meanings into everything and insinuate but there’s no need for that,” he said.

  5. This is total bull crap. There was no interface between the two offices. The VP got to know from the media. This government will plunge Nigeria into crises if care is not taken. Abba Kyari and Boss Mustapha keep toying with this country. One day monkey go go market e no go return.

  6. Na wa for Nigerians,we make an issue out of nothing and insinuate very wrongly and without any fact available to them. How do you know the VP heard it on radio, people should not forget that the current Vp has been the most active and involved VP since idiagbon and this should be credited to Buhari style of leadership. We should always be objective in our analysis and dont just talk for talking sake or bring in useless ethic and religious sentiments.

  7. It is not for me to explain is for you to know. When you manage a group of people you will have to chose a style which every style has its advantages and disadvantages. I have and still lead a division in different geographic locations so i can tell you for free am not a micro manager and to lead people is not easy especially in a liberal environment. To Criticize is the easiest thing in this world come to the drivers seat and when you have to take some tough decisions which is legally right but morally wrong than you will know that leadership is not easy at all
