President Trump Fires His National Security Adviser....

President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced that he had asked John Bolton, his national security adviser, to resign, citing strong differences of opinion with his assistant.

“I informed John Bolton last night that his services are no longer needed at the White House.
I disagreed strongly with many of his suggestions, as did others in the Administration
I asked John for his resignation, which was given to me this morning,” president Trump tweeted, adding that he was aiming to announce a replacement next week.

Bolton seemed to take a parting shot at his boss, immediately responding on Twitter: “I offered to resign last night and President Trump said, ‘Let’s talk about it tomorrow.’”

Bolton also sent text to U.S. media outlets to say he resigned on his own, NAN reports.

The move came as a surprise, with the White House putting out an advisory just an hour before the Trump announcement saying that Bolton would be taking part in a media briefing along with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.

Bolton also continued to post-administration policy on social media right up until the Trump announcement.

However, Trump has previously hinted at his disagreements with Bolton on foreign policy, and observers had regularly noted that the two made an odd couple, with the president more isolationist and the national security adviser an interventionist.

“John Bolton is absolutely a hawk. If it was up to him, he’d take on the whole world at one time.

“But that doesn’t matter because I want both sides,” Trump told broadcaster NBC in June.

Bolton, Trump’s third national security adviser, appeared to be waging numerous battles within the White House, most recently over Afghanistan and North Korea, that seemed at odds with the president’s wishes.

Bolton was also behind the hard-line approach to countries such as Iran and Venezuela.

U.S. media reported in recent weeks that Bolton and Trump were bitterly fighting over the approach to Afghanistan, as the president tried to work out a peace deal with the Taliban.

That process has since broken down, with Trump calling it “dead”.

  2. I like that Trump is seeking for peace, even though the camp David location was extremely careless. Bolton is a known war monger, hence he has no pity from the left and moderate right wingers. Almost everyone is glad to see him gone. Peace to the world.
This is what ojukwu should have done, instead he led his people to a war there were ill prepared for. America with all her power and might is running away from war, bcos at the end of the day, it's not worth it even when you win.

    1. Exactly my thoughts. It is this gra-gra that caused the Biafran War! It's not everybody you fight in the same way or at the same time. Before you sustain unnecessary injury.

Even in our everyday lives, the way you deal with a crazy SIL isn't how you deal with a mad MIL. But they're both enemies.

The way Jericho was defeated wasn't the strategy used to defeat Ai. There are some things you'll enter that even God will ask you, "Who sent you?"

  3. I kind of feel sorry for Bolton but l try not to. Any right thinking person, will not work for this guy. He just loves to humiliate people. Everyone except the Donald, knows Bolton resigned. Everyone believes Bolton over the Donald just like we all believed the National Weather Service when they said, Alabama, was not in hurricane Dorian’s path. What kind of a lier is this? History will not be kind to him at all. No integrity whatsoever. No shame either.

  4. Some of you just sit and write trash. Cos you don't like Trump, you will never see anything good in what he does. A security adviser that wants to take on the world needs mental help! In other words, the security adviser is someone that can start war that's unnecessary cos that's just who he is as a person. O ti oh. When you know you have the likes of North Korea, their superior weapons and a (possibly) mad president that doesn't think twice before executing his own - you do NOT have the luxury of taking on the whole world! It's not every battle that's won by show of STRENGTH when you have so much to lose. Today is 9/11, that should remind us that not everything is a gra-gra matter. Some things are not supposed to be a battle, some wars are won by STEALTH.

Like or hate Trump, he is what America needs right now. And get ready to cry cos he's coming back in 2020. Go and mark it.

    1. You are very correct 9:15. War is nothing everything, diplomatic talks is always a far better option!
