Thousands Of Egyptians Protest And Demand Removal Of President Sisi

Thousands of pro-democracy protesters last night marched in cities across Egypt to demand the resignation of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

Protests were reported in the capital Cairo, the second-biggest city of Alexandria and Suez, according to Aljazeera report.

Videos posted on social media showed demonstrators chanting “rise up, fear not, Sisi must go” and “the people demand the regime’s fall”.

Officers in civilian uniforms confronted the demonstrators who tried approaching Tahrir Square in Cairo. Several arrests were also made in the capital, and there were reports of tear gas being used on demonstrators.

The demonstrations came after self-exiled Egyptian businessman and actor Mohamed Ali accused President el-Sisi of corruption and called on people to take to the streets and demand the leader be removed. el-Sisi has dismissed the allegations as “lies''

Ali had said in a video posted on Tuesday.“If el-Sisi does not announce his resignation by Thursday, then the Egyptian people will come out to the squares on Friday in protest,”

  1. I was reading to see where fifteen persons or more were gunned down by the Egyptian Army but found none. Do you now agree with Nnamdi Kanu that Nigeria is a zoo? By now if it was Nigeria, there would be countless death all over the place. Wasn't this the same thing Omoyele Sowore called for? He hasn't even protested but was arrested like a criminal and imprisoned.

Nigeria is never a sane Cline. I really need to leave this shit hole before my psyche got damaged. I will appreciate help from anyone. We can never get the Nigeria of our dream. 'Nigeria will be great again' its a scam and only but an illusion.

    1. Nigerians will never agree that Nigeria is a zoo, yet the populace are being treated like animals. If you believe Nigeria is going to get better, you can believe in anything.
