South East Govs To Meet With President Buhari Over The Welfare Of The Igbos...

On Monday the South-East Governor’s Forum resolved to take up the issues concerning the welfare of the people of the zone with President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Chairman of the forum, Gov. David Umahi of Ebonyi State, disclosed this while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the governors’ meeting held in Enugu.

Umahi, however, declined to disclose to the media the details of what they hoped to discuss with the president

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that governors of Abia, Ebonyi and Enugu and the deputy governor of Imo attended the meeting.
Also in attendance were the leader of the Southeast National Assembly Caucus, Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe, the President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo, and some prominent religious leaders in the zone.

    1. I don't know how that's gonna happen because repeated calls were made before 2015 and 2019 elections, to the Igbos to vote the current govt. But the election results spoke the response of the SE zone.

Remember that politics is a game of numbers. According to Harrold Laswell "politics is who get what, when and how". In truth, we are one country but don't shun call for political alliance. No permanent friends but permanent interests. Even in a household, if you shun certain responsibility or won't play by the rules, you would be seen as black sheep of the family and probably denied certain privileges.

    2. But Ade, is this how true governance should be? Thought it should be fair to all irrespective of voting numbers. No region should be abandoned or neglected because they didn't vote enough. Not about pre zoning.

  2. Almost all the federal roads in the south east are death traps. No maintenance. No repairs. No construction of roads. E reach to meet the man but I know nothing will come out of it though.
