Actor Yul Edochie Says Male And Female Children Are The Same....

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie says a child is a child irrespective of its gender........He is talking to those of you who always disturb people about having a particular gender.....''Stella when are you having a girl child?Nkechi when are you having a boy child?''

  1. Yul, you're lying and you know it.

In Oyi local government where you from, does this apply?
Even within families, one boy is still regarded as "one leg down" talkless of none.

Leave social media cover up, please.

    2. You are right Xp, my friend from Anambra state have a son and two daughters but she is always telling me she needs to have another son so that her leg will balance well in her husband's house.
I have 3 daughters but I just want to know how having a son feels like.

    5. Really? Like seriously? Keep dodging them inugo! Or better still create a male child for yourself, when did you or those pipu become gods that create children? Be thankful for what you have. There are women who did not even give birth at all in life and they are still breathing, Hian!

    6. What is wrong with what Yul said? I don't understand you people. So if that is what happens in his village, does that mean it is right or he must support it? Osu mi my Lord!!!

    7. You are dodging going for Xmas. Is it not the man that supplies the male or female chromosome through his sperm? They should abuse their brother. If you train your kids well and give them the best opportunity you can at any given time, regardless of their gender, they will make you proud.

    9. He's actually right and he's only being pro-equality.

Doesnt mean his opinion is accepted by everyone in Africa, yet.

    11. Yul is shading his brother who has only girls,an anambra man cannot pretend this much in the face of adversity.

That's where people find his post distasteful. They don't talk anyway, he has to concentrate on reconciling his 4 brothers first of all.

  5. Please loud the volume for my hubby to hear, we have just one female child who is about 11 and he keeps going on and on about how he desires a male child. He says it's only a male child that can make so much money for the family name to continue. I am tired of hearing those words and shedding tears each time he says it. Olisa bikonu bless me with male children.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

    1. It is the male parent that determines the sex of the baby. This is none of your fault. May God grant you your son still.
“A child's sex is always determined by the father, since men cast the deciding chromosome — either an X or a Y — while women produce eggs that carry an X chromosome.”

    2. in my own family background were there are boys but its the girls that are earning money and taking care of the parents so will you say having boys is an asset ??..a good child is a good child regardless of the sex .. ..in Linda household who is the money maker??? ... lets change this mindset

  7. All that preference for the male gender is caused by us taking our fathers surname. I wonder why women are not fighting for their own surnames being hyphenated with their husbands surnames and given to their children. Why will you carry pregnancy and help in raising a child only for him/her to bare the husband surname solely?

Well in Ghana, some tribes especially the Ashantis take their mothers surname so you don't hear this thing of a male child being more important to a female child.

    1. Let's start from you. I hope your surname was hyphenated with your husband's name?

    2. I’m not the above anonymous.
My mom didn’t change her last name to my dad’s and they’ve been married for 29 years..
We the kids go by their last names(hyphenated)

    3. My dad's surname will definitely be kept and hyphenated with my husband's name. I will like my children to bear names given by their father, but they will have my dad's surname inside theirs. Especially if I marry a non-Nigerian

    4. As much as I somehow agree with you, hyphenating the names will cause future generations to have very long multiple hyphenated surnames 🤷

  8. It is not the same in Igbo land. They truth is women don't get any share of land or any other properties so to speak. And if the man dies without any male child, his older brother takes over everything he has even if he has ten female children. It is called 'iri ekpe' in Igbo land.

  9. Don't mind all them Judginas..always asking me when I ll have a female child. My mum has only one son but my Dad wanted more that he even had to marry another woman who has only male children and claimed the boys as his. This caused a big problem in my family. The same people that were attacking my mom that she has only one son are now attacking me to give my husband a female child..in this life, you can't please all

  10. Yul is saying this because he has 3 boys and 1 girl. If he had all girls, he would not say this. No be igbo man?

  11. I pity those men who destroy their family and break their marital vows because of male children.

    Go around and ask.

It would shock you to know that many of the precious male children are refusing to take care of their parents. It's usually the females that remember their parents in their old age.

And these male children were usually given the best of everything. They went to better schools than the daughters, were treated like gold while the daughters are made to work in the house. At the end of the day, they treat their parents like trash. You'll hear a guy telling his parents he's broke whereas he would send 50k to a girl who will use that same money to spend on herself and her parents.

I know a family where the sons don't give their parents anything despite the fact that they are working well. It's the daughters who don't earn as much as the sons that remember their parents.

    Parents, train your children equally.

  17. A man with 3 sons died recently. The sons were busy fighting for his dilapidated properties while it was the husbands of the daughters that footed the bills for his burial. Some male children are completely useless either from over-pampering or lack of drive.

  18. But women why are you complaining. Most of you treat your sons like demi gods and your daughters like maids. That's y a woman is running from her village because of insults . if you truly believe a girl child is enough u ll brace yourself and face whatever. By so doing, your strong personally will rub on your daughter's and they will know they need to be extraordinary and prove themselves and mayb God ll eventually hear your prayer for a Male son. But first woman change your mind set
