Cuppy Otedola Launches Foundation And Gets N5billion From Father Otedola And N100million From Godfather Dangote..

Billionaire Femi Otedola has donated N5bn to his daughter Florence Otedola's 'Cuppy Foundation'
He made the donation through his daughter Tolani at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, on Sunday.

Tolani said, “My father, Mr Femi Otedola, has been at the forefront of supporting worthy causes. It is in this spirit that he will be donating the sum of N5bn to the children of Borno, Adamawa and Katsina through Save the Children.”

Cuppy’s godfather, Dangote, who is the owner of the Dangote Group, also made a donation of N100m.

Dangote said, “It gives me great pleasure to be here supporting my brother, Femi. I believe we need more Nigerians to have big hearts to give back to the needy.”To Cuppy, I must congratulate you for having a big heart to visit those children in Borno. She spent about four days with them. In the light of this, I am making a donation of N100m.”

Among the guests were Vice-

President Yemi Osinbjao;
CEO, Save the Children, UK, Kevin Watkins;
Mr Femi Otedola,
entrepreneur, Hajia Bola Shagaya;
Ambassador Babagana Kingibe;
 Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Niyi Adebayo.
Senator Gabriel Suswam,

The young philanthropist, who is also an ambassador of the Save the Children UK, a non-governmental organisation, said her foundation, which was launched in August 2018, was inspired by a trip to Maiduguri, Borno State.

Miss Otedola says she started the foundation as a way of giving back to the less fortunate.

  10. By fire by force femi must use aliko money shine.
    It is indeed a smart move and strategic positioning for cups which I commend him for doing to support his daughter. DJ no be work. She can have it at the side business. This gala or warever is the only way she can climb the ladder and join the intellectuals Running things in the country. Point 1; if the support wasn’t for northern nigeria, aliko might not support because that’s where his focus is (even with his foundation) for the next 5years especially the Northeast.
    2. FO mentioning 5bila is just a way to set the tone for the day. We all know how donations/fund raisings are all over the world. People promise to save face and never fulfill obligations.
    This event we can confirm 100Mila from aliko and probably 20mila combined from all others. call me a hater but it is what it is

  12. She should focus on this foundation thingy and leave music alone.
    I love music but I know I have no business singing. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

    But I hope the monies donated really get to help the children that are for.
    I don't know how smart this girl is but she needs proper management to get things done with all these money.
    5 billion is enough to do something tangible.

    Welldone.

  13. Money laundering things. Na today? Of course the children will get a slice of the cake but EFCC gat nothing on NGOs. Why do you think every Naija celeb now runs an NGO/foundation? 5% of 2billion na wetin? Easy money. Soft werk!

  20. I dont believe this, its a strategy tbo he'd be donating but not up to a billion sef. By the way, the issue is not helping these kids, its finding a splution that is long lasting to eradicate insurgencies creating more displaced kids......

  21. Make una calm down! Theres something called CSR. When companies do CSR, they use tax monies to for community development. Otedola is just tired of giving his tax money to FIRS thieves, so he made a smart move by using it to set his daughter up for life. Great business man!!
