Government Bans Commercial Tricycle In Abuja....
Residents of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, were on Tuesday thrown into confusion following the sudden ban on commercial Tricycle operators also known as ‘Keke’ by the Federal Government.

DeleteKeke makes transportation easy for every one but We can not deny that these keke drivers have gone raving crazy on the roads. Keke drivers are the night mare of motorists. From breaking side mirrors to scratches on cars with impunity. They seriously needed to be confined/restricted. Hopefully Lagos will either caution them, train them or implement the same. The roads now seem like a jungle with all the bad portions and traffic and keke maneuvering through.

DeleteTnx sis, you are the only one making sense here. We have Taxi’s that ply along the road, and takes same amount as Keke and they are back to the road. I hate those keke’s like mad. They destroyed my side mirror, they broke my bumper. And when they damage your car they still make trouble with you, all of them will gather you and block everywhere. I love it die. The should even collect lesser than they Taxi’s but they collect same amount, so what is the essence. The just litter the road like pest. Abeg I am happy joe. 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️

I live in Gwarinpa and I must confess that the tricycle riders constitute a nuisance however, the aftermath of the ban isn't funny. when I take my kids to school in the morning, it is not a pleasant sight, pupils, students and workers trekking, b4 they get to their destinations, they will definitely be exhausted, how will the students concentrate in class or the workers be productive?

DeleteThis country is becoming worrisome to me. What kind of wicked govt is this, why would the govt derive joy in bringing an untold hardship to it citezens all the time? How can you put food out of thousands of people's mouth with given them another alternative for replacement? Here in abuja that everything is expensive, how do u want the poor masses to get to work on time? ReplyDeleteThis is nothing but pure wickedness. How will they wake up one morning and ban keke? Do they know the untold hardship people will suffer? So I should carry my child and be trekking out from my street to the main road everyday before I get a taxi? What will happen to all those people who used to drive the keke's? People will hustle to have something doing because the useless government cannot provide employment for them and yet they still find a way to frustrate the citizens and make them suffer. I am very angry this morning. Is it fair? God will surely deal with this government.

ReplyDeleteThough I don't support Keke as a means of transportation in the capital city. I mean, this is the sit of power, some kind things no suppose dey run here.. but my issue with this End Time Government is that they don't put measures in place before taking drastic steps.. they didn't even set a time frame so people can plan alone.. FCT weh just dey dirty daily. I don tire sef, but Lagos is a no no.. holdup go just shorten person life span. Na so person go dey treat malaria every 2 weeks and no be say mosquito bite you. I remember "someone I know" telling a friend, when he was abroad about how he was always treating malaria every month in Lagos but haven't had as little as headache since he came overseas for almost a year.. the friend was like, is it that there are a lot of mosquitos in Lagos? And "someone I know" said the malaria was rather caused by Lagos stress. The friend couldn't understand how stress causes malaria. May he never have a reason to understand.

DeleteI thought they just enforced where they should operate. That is, in and around large estates, suburbs and not the city centers or already congested business districts.
ReplyDeleteThey have provided the "El-rufai" buses but they are not enough and do no go to all the books and crannies. Even the commercial "along" vehicles are not there for some routes.
