ReplyDeleteHubby is older than me with 8 years and he doesn't fail to use every opportunity to remind me how he is older than me. Yesterday I really felt humiliated and I cant still get over it. I'm a stay at home mom , was working before , (although It was during my nysc period i got married and after some months became pregnant. I stopped because the pay was not worth the stress that time, was paid less than 20k.) I thought I will get a job with my certificate but till date I'm still job hunting , I do small side hustle but it doesn't pay much, my second pregnancy made me stopped because I couldn't cope.(hubby insisted our first child gets to a certain age before starting school,and I cant cope with a toddler and baby together with my hustle, no help, thank God its almost time, toddler will be starting school next year)i totally depend on my hubby for now .
Now to what really pained me yesterday, I wanted to throw rubbish away and I asked hubby for money, he told me to check his cupboard , I saw 300 naira and I took100 and left the 200. Later he wanted to go out, (he had warned me not to be touching his money and I dont take it without his permission ), I was asleep and in deep sleep he started shouting at me that I took all the 300 naira, he called me all sort of names,I told him I only took 100 naira and I helped me looked for it and lo and behold it was there. I was so angry
Later that evening, I wanted to go to Service with my kids and cousin, tfare is 100 naira,so together with my cousin its 200 naira to go and coming back is 200 naira making 400 naira, he gave me 500 naira. So we left and coming back we decided to walk down since its trekable . On getting home he saw that my toddler's feet were dusty and he asked if we trekked, I saw no that we too bike , I had plans for the change. He called my Toddler and asked him and as you know children dont lie, he found out we trekked. Hubby came to meet me in the kitchen and started calling me a liar and all sort. That he doesn't know if I've been lying all these years since we got married that he will never believe me again. I was surprised because I didn't take it serious the way he took it. He know I'm always honest and blunt with him.he talked on and on for almost 30 minutes, I didn't utter any word, I just entered my bathroom, and started praying and crying to God..I felt so bad and humiliated , he even took the change from me. My prayer is that God blesses me with a job come 2020. I know hes trying in carrying all the expenses but he doesn't have to disrespect me at every opportunity. Even the money he gives me and up going into house expenses
Sorry my dear, please look for a job ASAP, fights over money less than 500 naira na crime in today’s Nigeria, even if it is crèche teacher in a school. You need to get a job. He is a master orchestrator and play write, so it's always fun watching him dramatically unfold all the great things he has planned. I just hope nobody has died. Phewwwwww. The way people die these days is scary. One man in my town just went for surgery, minor surgery of which he walked into the theater himself. They had finished the surgery, he recovered and the doctors had come to discharge him. Dead.
Another one just fought with her husband, Dead. It was the man that died.
Kai painful. Too many deaths. Lost someone who died when giving birth. Baby died, mother died and saw her burial today on Facebook.

ReplyDeleteIt's been one hectic December. I came home to enjoy the holiday but rather I've been running from hospital to hospital trying to treat myself of a fever that later affected my eye.
I'm just so grateful that the eye can stand a little light now which I couldn't do for over a week. You won't know the blessing of being in good health till you fall ill.
Countdown to my mama's birthday on 31st... .She has told us what she wants as gift, Lord help us to be able to achieve that....
2019 was one difficult year, made a lot of mistakes with regrets but I'm thankful for the lessons learnt from each of these experiences as it only made me stronger and wiser. I have a good feeling about 2020 and I'm hopeful.
