The Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, disclosed this in a statement released on Tuesday.
Malami said the decision to release Sowore and his co-accused was in compliance with the bail granted the duo by the court.
“The two defendants are enjoined to observe the terms of their bail and refrain from engaging in any act that is inimical to public peace and national security as well as their ongoing trial which will run its course in accordance with the laws of the land,” the statement read in part
Sowore has been in custody of the Department of State Service, DSS, since August 2019 when he called for a revolution against the current government ..

OMG;Thank God Dasuki is free!!!
So wore has been released already. Dasuki I don't know.
ReplyDeleteThis is how a country should protect their citezens.
DeleteI hope Dasuki is released. Buhari is afraid that the guy is quite influential and powerful.
DeleteIt has become an international issue so they had to bend but I guess Baba Bubu also has his plans.
DeleteThank goodness Dasuki has been released too.
DeleteD fear of USA is d beginning of humility. Not even impressed, long overdue. Remaining El Zakky & that little Christian girl held by Boko Haram in Sambisa forest.
ReplyDeleteOh, is it Federal Government holding the girl as well?
DeleteThe POTUS spoke and Nigeria must obey. I thought Lai Mohammed was forming what I don't know.. Nigeria will always beg America for financial aid, so they must listen to them.
DeleteThis Government, is not a Democratic one. It feels like we are in a Military regime, with several decrees in place. If You are in the opposition party and you sneeze, you get locked up.
ReplyDeleteHow can a reasonable government, that’s is fair lock up someone without a fair trial for this long? Well, thank goodness they will be released. I hope it’s not mere press statements.
Adolph Hitler of a president
ReplyDeleteAt last!
ReplyDeleteUpon Adeshina running his mouth. I thought they don't fear the US.
ReplyDeleteyou can say that again. Funny people....The fear of US is the beginning of knowledge.
DeleteSo we now need US to enforce the rule of law in this country 🙄
Make no mistakes, the polithieftians including that one dancing up there are afraid of their loots being frozen like chickens in the USA. Nothing more. It has nothing to do with the more you see they are blabbing about.
ReplyDeleteFinally.. He must have seen hell chaii..
ReplyDeleteI support Sowore release. Dasuki, I do not support that he should be released.
ReplyDeleteThe major issue is that the government has to start obeying the courts, despite the personality involved. We are not in a military dictatorship, though it appears so these days.
DeleteGbam anon 21:14. Not obeying the court could mean you are lawless.
DeleteThe government is ordering that they be released, meanwhile it was the same government that held them and flouted previous orders for their release.
ReplyDeleteThey take Nigerians for fools
They are scared of being denied visa
ReplyDeleteVisa ke, na the fear of freezing of their foreign banks accounts
DeleteSo Dasuki is finally free. Awa owo nko??
ReplyDeleteThey were compelled to do that by American government else they won't have released them. "Sowore should not sleep in detention come Christmas" was the order to Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget the Attorney General denied receiving any letter from America government and less than 24hrs he made those claims and lies he ordered for their release. Can you now add one and two together.. Very deceitful people in government. I wish they refuse or say no to it.
Thank God for them
ReplyDeleteAbout time they were released
ReplyDeleteI thought Bubu was running his mouth on USA to stop poke nossing into "his" affairs. Onye nkuaghasa
ReplyDeletePower pass power..hahahahaha
ReplyDeleteHappy freedom to you Sowore
