Police Deny Report That Missing 1 Year Old Boy Was Exhumed From Burnt Church..

The Ondo State Police Command has declared false, the viral news that the body of a missing boy was exhumed from Sotitobire church in Akure, a church earlier destroyed by irate youths in the state.

In a statement released Police spokesperson, Femi Joseph said News which was made viral by a leading TV was false and misleading...

“The Ondo State Police Command wishes to inform the general public particularly the People of Ondo State that they should disregard the rumours making the rounds that the body of a recently declared missing boy in the state has been exhumed from Sotitobire church in Akure.

“It is most unfortunate that this misleading information spearheaded by a popular TV station, has ignited a spontaneous reactions from the people leading to wanton destruction of properties and injuries to many.

“The church building was also set ablaze by irate youths. Some of our officers dispatched to the scene to contain the situation were pelted with stones with many of them sustaining injuries.

“Their patrol vehicle was also badly damaged. This rejoinder became necessary to disabuse the minds of many Nigerians who might have fallen for this wicked lies and propaganda.

“The public should also not be hoodwinked by reports that the command has abandoned the investigation of the incident,as the case file is already on the way to the DPP for legal advice.

“Notwithstanding this latest incident, more reinforcement has been sent to the scene to contain the situation.”

    1. Could be the child’s relative that took the boy away. I know of a child abducted by the father after the mother left him.

  6. Stella, check the first post you made on this story some bvs dropped info. They are only trying to do damage control I read the boy's mother response saying that the child's body found is not hers she said something that caught my attention she said "I'm sitting at home" the way she responded didn't sound like she was troubled at all I mean a real mother's response would have been different except she didn't not like her son.

  13. Christians in Nigeria should be wary of where they go in the name of church, many native doctors are opening churches masquerading as Pastors, we are in the end time and the devil is seriously looking for converts just like God is also converting souls to the kingdom. Be wise
