Addressing newsmen on Sunday after his victory at the poll, Adeyemi said, “when a servant steals the garment of his master, the garment will be too big for the servant that the joy of having his master’s garment will cause the servant to misbehave to people- he ordinarily could have respected.”
Adeyemi said Melaye’s over-size “garment made him to misbehave while in the Senate,” saying “legislation is not synonymous with rascality and recklessness.”
Speaking further, the two-time Senator apologised on behalf of the people of his constituency to all those the outgoing Senator Dino Melaye had offended “through his unguided utterances and actions” and said the trait was “alien to the culture and tradition of his people.”
He specifically begged President Muhammad Buhari, the APC national Chairman, Adams Oshiomole, the APC leader, Ahmed Tinubu, the governor of the state, Yahaya Bello and a host of others that Melaye had at one time or the other had altercation with to forgive the defeated senator.
Adeyemi pledged “to represent the people with dignity and decorum” at the Red Chamber, and also promise to do more for the people of his constituency in his third term at the Senate.
He thanked the electorate, the APC, traditional rulers, Governor Bello and all those who contributed to his success at the poll and stressed he would not disappoint them.

I knew Dino Melaye stand no chance of winning that election the moment INEC declared a rerun... The rerun was a means to make sure he's being rigged out.
ReplyDeleteMy humble advice is that, Dino Malaye shouldn't bother approaching the court. In as much as Tanko is there as the CJN, he will never get justice. The presidency doesn't want a senator that will check their excesses.... He should think towards 2023.
hmmm! if not for Dino's stupidity and immaturity, who u b for Okun land. if no b Yahaya n Oshiomole who u be Mr. Smart. D road to ur village in Okunland is a no go area. if they put u n Dino 4 jungle,he will survive while u won't survive. Na Dino smartness kill am. Law of karma don catch am. Half bread is better Dan puff,Okun pple prefer Dino to u by far. House u no get foR ur villa, all Smart property dey Ilorin. Selfish politicians
ReplyDeleteSo Dino is now jobless 😂😂😂
ReplyDeleteHe will go into nollywood🤣🤣🤣🤣
DeleteHe will make us proud in nollywood.
DeleteHmmmm,na wa
ReplyDeleteSee shit slinging.
ReplyDeleteDino can act in Nollywood or sing but those options can't pay as much as the Senate jumbo salary and other benefits with which he kept acquiring dream cars
ReplyDeleteThat why he wants to die there while forming ' I am fighting for the masses'.
Anyone who thinks Dino and his ilk are fighting for him is living in Dreamland.
When Saraki, Dino, Kwankwaso decamped and dealt negatively with GEJ they were seen as strongmen and they solely enjoyed the benefits that came with their new positions, they tried doing the same with PMB by decampimg and it failed or boomeranged.
Why then should I take up their war or fight PMB and his government because of them?.
If Saraki was truly fighting for the people then he should tell us why he turned Kwara state to his personal property for all these decades.
Dino is very afraid of his new status in irrelevance and the fact that there's no free money to spend on Abuja big girls anymore.
The moment he made jest of Akpabio on the floor of the senate, I knew his end had come.
ReplyDeleteThe first election he won, he bribed the judge to scale through. He tried many tricks this time too, but water pass garri.
Goodluck extinguished Senator Dino
Smart you rigged it and unfortunately the governor hates Dino so your luck.. If na peoples opinion you will never win. Dino don't bother going to court. The rerun was to help smart, so just accept your faith and move on
ReplyDeleteI am completely unperturbed by the identities of the dramatis personae in this election, what i am concerned about is whether or not the election was free and fair. It appears the election doctoring rehearsals that apc started in both ekiti and osun state has now been perfected. This dangerous trend will if left unchecked will cost us a lot as a nation. The very idea that those at the helms of affairs can do as they please without any consequences troubles me. We are sailing in a rudderless ship. May God help us.
ReplyDeleteWhen Dino insulted Jagaban's wife the other time, I knew his days were numbered politically. I believe strongly that you can be a strong opposition politician and still maintain the highest levels of decorum. That, and pitching his tent with Bukola Saraki are the major steps that led Dino to where he finds himself today.
ReplyDeleteSo what is the smart saying now? these our politicians are just irritating. Becos you won now your mouth is sharp.
