Great. Still proud and happy for Burna, he is a Grammy Nominee and I know his next Album will be hot too for another Grammy and he would win
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to her..nice one, real recognized real
ReplyDeleteI like her songs
Congratulations Kidjo. I broke down watching Boys2Men and Alicia keys tribute to Kobe Bryant.
ReplyDeleteHer speech was so mature and her dedicating it to burna really showed her compassion and respect for good music creating a name for africa music....i really wanted burna to bring this home๐ช๐พ
ReplyDeleteit would have been great and a huge stepping stone for other artist here, but all the same we go hard again and i know burna being nominated and coming so close will only motivate others to top thier game , and in less than 2 years i see a nigerian A list musician bringing it home๐๐๐๐พ
๐.. Awon consolation prize.. only a joker would expect burna to win in that category..
ReplyDeleteMama the mama
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to her..she is an asset to African music
Story!
ReplyDeleteBurna boy was robbed!
Robbed how ?
DeleteNo be only robbed. Like grammy is that easy.
Delete16+ Albums & 50+ awards to her, a serial activist & advocate, 1 of BBC Africa most iconic figures, UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since 2002, 1st woman 40 powerful African celebs etc
Don't disrespect Kidjo cos you wanted Burna to win.
Her latest album Celia moved through the ranks to peak at 8 on bill board and while burna’s peaked at 104.
Make una go yansh down somewhere jare.
She deserves it. Hardworking jovial woman with lovely music. Classy and mature. Burna's still got time, so it's all cool.
DeleteCongts ma,but this really pained me
ReplyDeleteThis pained me seriously, o hurt mi gan ni. OluwaBurna was robbed if this award.
DeleteThe thing pain me seriously ๐ฑ๐๐ณ๐ฉ๐คท๐พ♀️
Burnaboy wasn't robbed of the award him never ripe better luck next year
DeleteNobody wa robbed, you guys should look at things with clear mind..
DeleteOnce things don't go your way, you start crying foul. It's clearly most of you that think this way don't know anything about African music.
Once they are fans they would be sentimental and less objective. At least they are better than BBN fans
DeleteEnd time dedication
ReplyDeleteA collabo with them both go make sense.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Very good idea.
DeleteI hope what happened to femi kuti doesn't happen to him. Femi got nominated so many times but never won. At a point he even stopped attending the event cos he saw it as a waste of time.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good thing he got nominated, it shows his music is well accepted out there.
DeleteIf you're nominated, it show that you're a winner too..
I see Rema of Mavin becoming the first Nigerian artist to win the Grammy cuz believe me that kid is definitely on a spaceship...
ReplyDeleteOriegwu. With the rubbish songs that have no lyrics
DeleteSo Rema is a BV?
DeleteRema ke!๐๐..with what? He should up his game๐
DeleteYou know nothing about music.
DeleteThat boy have a lot of home work to do and don jazzy might not be the right person to bring the best out of him.
DeleteRema ko,Rema ni.those nursery rhymes anon 12.09 do u know music at all?
ReplyDeleteThe moment I saw Angelique Kidjo's name I knew Burna didn't stand a chance. This reminds me of bv Kidjo where's she?
ReplyDeleteI miss bv kidjo too. Nice and funny lady.
Deletehow do they select their winners, as we many reach we nor vote
ReplyDeleteSo this is the kind of music this oyibo want us to be singing, na wao. So africans cannot develop mordern music, if na so dem for nominate so kin so by wande and umu oboligbo culture na. I nor know say na ogene music dem want. Yete dey smell. They should just own up that tgey rrally could care less about this category and they just picked the most familliar bame to them. Ignorant people, like we vant develop modern music
ReplyDeleteFamilliar name, cant develope.
ReplyDeleteYet people are saying he stole her songs and changed to English foolish people . She would never do this if it was true. Well done mummy and greater heights African Giant Burna
ReplyDeleteI prayed so much for Burna to win but God knows best.I pray his next album is better than the previous ones
