Court Jails Man 8 Years for Fraud And Orders Him To Pay Restitution Or Stay Additional 6 Years In Jail

Justice Umaru Fadawu of the Borno State High Court, Maiduguri on Monday, January 27, 2020 sentenced Emmanuel Yakubu to eight years jail term and ordered him to make a restitution of N12, 300,000.00 (Twelve Million, Three Hundred Thousand Naira) to his victim.
In sentencing the convict, Justice Fadawu ruled that in default of making the restitution, the convict will spend additional six years in a correctional centre, which shall run consecutively from the day of sentencing.
