  1. That’s a Boss with empathy. Some other Boss, would react differently. They want no excuses and even yell at you on top your car worries too.
Fact 2. Nice clock. Keep ticking for future generations. But 1410?? It is been long o!! When will the world end?

    1. Would you also be as faithful as that secretary? or you think it is any kind of secretary that will get that? How many of you Nigerians will come to work later than the stipulated time and write that time instead of cutting corners and writing for your friends that came late?

    2. @1623, l hate to bust your bubble. When l lived in Nigeria, l was at my desk at 0630am five days a week. I was always the first person at work. Work started at 0700 then. I was in an oil company and 99% of staff, were punctual.
Secondly, l know some bosses here in the US, who will give you a late slip, after you struggled to get to work after a car breakdown. I have seen a coworker biking to work. His bicycle got broken. He carried that thing the rest of the way, made it only to receive a late slip. People told him he should have just called in sick.
Stick with your own comment and leave mine alone. It does not have to be a physical gift like a car. A pass given to an employee will also never be forgotten.
Most Nigerians are trying their best. Bad roads, traffic jams, robbery in traffic, they still make it.

That oil company of course is a foreign company. You don't mess with foreigners or you get fired. I am talking about Nigerians working for a Nigerian or for the government.

    1. Some people can be so stingy to their family and spend big on others. Case in point, men who spend big on their girlfriends, but find it hard to give their wives and children shishi.

  8. Wow!!! @1, a well trained and experienced Boss. Most people are there to bully their subordinates, forgetting that it is opportunity that makes the different between a boss and a subordinate.
