Ex-Corps Member Joins BH Terrorists

Benue-born former National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Abraham Amuta, has reportedly rejected an offer for freedom by the Boko Haram terrorists.

Instead, he reportedly told negotiators who went to the Sambisa Forest to secure his release to go back home, saying he had renounced his Christian faith and is now a member of Boko Haram, the Daily Trust reported.

Amuta was observing the one-year mandatory service in Borno State when he was abducted on 10 April, 2019 on Gwoza-Maiduguri road. He was heading to Chibok to deliver humanitarian assistance.

He was travelling alongside a 58-year-old man, Moses Oyeleke of Living Faith Church in Maiduguri and few others, including a schoolgirl, Ndagiliya Ibrahim Umar.

Pastor Oyeleke was released in November 2019. According to the newspaper, negotiation for the release of Amuta and the other captives continued until yesterday when the process collapsed at the last hour following the ex-corps member’s decision to remain with his captors.

I think this guy is very much a Christian, He'll die for the Lord. He has not be converted on tiny little bit. That's a bold one brother, We'll keep praying for you. For whatever reason you choose to remain is for the spread of the kingdom of God.

    2. Which kingdom of gods? You will be praying for him in your comfort zone, why not swap with him and take his place?

  4. Evidently, seeing how much resources and hard currencies the Boko Haram guys have to play with, he chose to remain. This also begs the question.

If negotiations were going on, then it means Boko Haram are not ghosts. They are accessible and reachable. They are known to the government. Someone us making bank from these kidnappings. They are people in high positions of our government and military.

    1. That is what Abacha said before he died. That if insurgency succeeds, then the government is involved.

    2. How quickly was he radicalised and what was the incentive?

A serious government will find out and create a counter measure

    1. Of course something is off. But God who sees knows how and when to act.

But God is so merciful wanting this people to have a change of heart and stop. Cos it won't cause Him anything to open tur ground and swallow them. They should just know its His mercy that is keeping them.

    2. But why should they go? They posted my daughter there and I said rather than serve there she should forget NYSC. She redeployed to CRS State.

    1. This is a politically correct answer to questions asked because in the case of Leah, they said she refused to convert and now this one voluntarily converts, something is not right.
I think they dont want it to sound like they are forcing anyone to convert again.
On Sunday a bomber was caught, he said he is a Christian.
Given the fact that with all the killing done to Christians and the Christians aren't reacting or fighting, they want to turn the table, to make sure they throw the country into anarchy.
      IMO.

  12. Since he has decided to renounce his faith and stay there, they need to swap him with Leah.

    1. Leah has been married off and has a child reportedly. It will take divine intervention to free her. The powers that be very much want her to remain there.

  13. I think they have given him a job there. I wonder what his discipline is though. After all, it is said, half bread is better than none.

  14. Of course he has been coerced or threatened. Poor guy, only God knows what he has been subjected to.

  15. Bloody lies, Leah Sharibu willingly wanted to stay, this young Christian man also willingly wanted to stay, do they think they are talking to sucklings.

  16. Assuming we are gullible enough to believe this balderdash, it does not change the fact that these people were abducted, kidnapped, against their fundamental human right and personal volition. Since when did kidnapping stop being a crime, that we now negotiate with murderous kidnappers. Abeg this news dei turn my belle.

  17. Asi, lies, iro nla. These Muslim terrorists think we are fools to believe this rubbish.

    ReplyDelete
  18. it's either a lie, or he converted under duress or he was indoctrinated.
Either way the govt needs to try and rescue him, Leah and other people abducted by these extremist islamic groups.

  19. He has learn the new way to get automatic employment from Nigeria govt, be a terrorist for few months, renounce them, gets rehabilitated and get automatic employment by Nigeria govt into their military or anywhere of your choice, such a smart ass guy
