Nigerian Govt Please Shut Down ALL Schools Including Universities...

This is an Urgent memo to the Nigerian government....

I don't know if they are waiting for the Coronavirus to arrive in a private jet before those in power know what to do....

Nigerian government, why so slow to take actions on this Coronavirus pandemic? Is it not better to act now than when it is too late?

Various states announcing closure of primary and secondary schools is not enough - CLOSE DOWN ALL SCHOOLS INCLUDING THE UNIVERSITIES!!!

Do not wait to be told..do it now

Minister of Health please inform your Principal on the Urgent need to do this NOW!

Students in primary and Secondary schools can be sent homeworks to do at home via their parents whatsapp or email while the University students can organise reading groups via whatsapp and skype and still do homework and projects.....This is the way it is being organised in most Countries that have shut down schools.

Shut down all gatherings, shut down all Restaurants and Offices, shut down all supermarkets and market, shut down all seminars, shut down all meetings, just Shut down!!

You cannot be trying to keep the Economy going when Countries with better economies have shut down.

This memo may sound frightening and out of place but desperate times call for desperate measures.

Shut down now before the Coronavirus shuts down Nigeria!

    2. I don't understand why they want to shut schools in Nigeria? It's not like they have that much cases and not spreading because of the temperature of the country.

    1. You sound so ignorant. Is it until people start dying in their numbers that we should shut down to curtail this demon? One more thing lassa is child's play compared to corona.

    2. Anon 10:30, Lassa is child's play compared to corona?? Really?? I disagree. I think what makes corona frightening is the route of transmission. Besides there have been a lot of recovery cases recorded.
Let's all be calm, wash our hands frequently, eat balanced diet with lots of fruits and vegetables and above all PRAY,the world has seen worst, this too shall pass

    3. Nigerian will never shut down market, we are still quite underdeveloped, take the necessary precautions, if are so panicked, you can quarantine yourself. Do you know how many people malaria and lassa fever have killed. Is it because this one affects international communities?

  4. Nigeria is not like developed countries, we still live village life, if you buy food items, which light will you use to preserve it. You cannot tell market women not to come out and sell the small products they got from their farms and buy food stuffs for their families. Close schools may be but not markets, shops and supermarkets, hunger will kill people faster than the virus.

    1. We don't have community infection, the 8 cases we have are people who travelled in from the US ,UK and Italy. Government placed a ban on flights from 13 countries. You are unnecessarily trying to induce panic. Schools are closing next week Friday, why the panic. Which market Dem want close, almost all the market women live on what they sell daily, exactly how are they going to survive. Enough chof theildish attempt to induce panic please

  10. This shut down business can only work in developed countries. Where is the internet you will use to work remotely? Is it not the slow services they provide? Have you ever used public transport in Nigeria? Market nko? Online shopping is not yet in our villages that resellers buy food from. It's not about shutting schools, churches and public gathering. You can get it from keke or molue. We are not all car owners. We are not a developed economy that can shut down. This corona is just not good here because hmmmmm. It is well.

  12. Greed will not allow them to shut down anything! I don't know the type of leaders we have in Nigeria. Never serious after their own interests, never have the feeling of a common man at heart! I just sit down and pray silenty in my heart concerning leadership in Nigeria. A country with abundant wealth and resources suffering. Since the creation of Nigeria which president has done something or left an indelible mark in history NONE. Every leader comes to fill their pockets and that of their unborn generation. No good roads,no light,no good hospital,no security, people behave as if they are in a jungle. I feel bad when I think of Nigeria as a whole. I pray God send us someone who will one day make a difference. All they know is how to share money, allocations, oil blocks, lands anything that interests them!

  13. Pls don't allow hunger kill people. Every country will use tailor made approach depending on their peculiarities. If they had implemented travel ban from day one we won't be here. Cutting head no be cure for head ache abeg!

  14. Please let's all be calm. People will die of hunger if the markets are shut down because not everybody have the money to stock the house with foodstuffs. Moreover, there's no constant power supply to preserve the foods. May God help us because we are not well developed to handle this pandemic in anyway.

"Go home my people and lock your doors, hide yourselves for a little while until the Lords anger has passed ".

    2 Timothy 1:7
" for God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power,
and love and a sound mind ".

This is not the time to be afraid people, surrender yourselves to him and keep praying. This too shall pass.

  20. Close everywhere but leave market alone cos of hunger strike. Shit is getting serious #coronavirusisreal#

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hmm. For those clamouring for the closure of schools and the likes,do you think that is the solution to the dreadful virus; for me, no. If schools and other gatherings are shut down, ain't people going to come in contact with others again. In countries where that has been done, remember they don't only do that but also self-isolate the positively tested individual. As for this country where the virus has not really been widely circulated like those highly affected country, I think what we need is orientation; wash your hand, avoid handshake and other recommended precautions. Shouting here and there to paralyse everywhere is tantamount to indolence and lack of knowledge of managing tension.
