The painful thing is all this was AVOIDABLE. She should simply learn her lessons and move on.
ReplyDeleteLearned bvs, englighten me please. Is she now an ex convict and would she be coming from her home to do the community service?
DeleteEveryone makes mistakes. This was simply an oversight. Done out of excitement and in the spur of the moment. No one would knowingly set themselves up. And yes they broke the law.
DeleteBut why are people rejoicing saying serves them right? What do u gain by someone's humiliation? Rejoicing at someone's misfortune? God help us
Social media without makeup, eiya.
DeleteI have alerted all my street people to bring out all their dirty dishes and clothed and line them up for celebrity touch. Community service extraordinary!!!!
DeleteYes she’s an ex-convict and she will be reporting to a police station everyday for the duration of the community service.
Delete
DeleteAnd after she does the celebrity washing will your bank balance change or u will be on her page begging for her for give-away.
I fear Nigerians always looking for someones downfall. Na poverty go kill una while Funke keeps making money.
I don't think so, she won't be going to jail @Anon 17:38. So she won't be referred to as ex-convict.
DeleteOde Anon, go and Google the meaning of ExConvict!!!
Delete18:32 get your filthy self out of my comment. Someone can't make a light joke again? You are a brat and will always remain that. If you really care for her that much please take her place by helping her with the community service. You poverty stricken beggar.
DeletePls it’s a costly mistake. What if one person had it at that party?? Then everyone would be at risk. I do not know why they are arresting the guests. Those ones can argue that they thot they would be less than 20 People there and didn’t stay long.
DeleteMUMU anon22.01
DeleteDont go and wash your dirty dishes yourself. Pig or there is no water, keep keeping it for funke till maggots infest your home.
E pain you go break neck.High blood pressure for my comment go land where you wan land omugo
DeleteIn Nigeria, once you have been convicted of a criminal offence, you become a convict. You can be sentenced to a prison term or you are asked to pay a fine or both. You can also be ordered to do community service as well as pay a fine in lieu of imprisonment. So a convict can either be sent to prison or ordered to do community service for a designated period. It is only after you have served whatever punishment was given that you are now referred to as an "ex-convict" or "ex-con". You mustn't be sent to prison to be an ex-convict.
DeleteLike we say in law, the real punishment is the new status of "ex-convict". It is even worse than imprisonment or a fine or both. The "saving grace", for lack of a better word, is that she wasn't convicted of a felony, that carries more restrictions on future endeavors.
Right now, she is a convict. After serving her 14 day community service and paying the fine, she will now be what is known in law as an "ex-convict". If she were given a prison sentence, she would still be referred to as a "convict". After her release from prison, she will then be referred to as an "ex-convict".
The terms "convict" and "ex-convict" are not used exclusive for those sent to prison and released from prison, respectively. They are used once a person has been convicted of a criminal offence and after the person has duly served his or her sentence, whether custodial sentence or not.
Oh dear, you should have known better.
ReplyDeleteI see a movie script
Dissappear with your hypocritical ass abeg!
DeleteAnony what's the fuss here? I don't even blame you idle women cos I've been in your shoe before.
DeleteI got a job that has been keeping me so busy and focused and now there's a lock down, making me sit at home and idle again. I have been praying seriously for it to go after 2weeks only for someone to come and start gallivanting and partying dragging us back to where we are hoping to get out of and you want me to pity her? I am only pitying myself abeg.
What's the movie title @Fan.
DeleteWell, this will serve as an example for others that think because they are celebrity they can do as they like.
I hope you will all rest now. I'm sure they have learnt their lessons.
ReplyDelete1. Practice what u lreach
2. Obey the laws of the land
3. A lot of people are just patiently waiting for your mistake to capitalise on. Don't give them that joy
You know this @no.3
DeleteYes!!
DeleteThis is not a zoo.
More lessons:
DeleteDon't put everything on social media. If they had not uploaded the videos on their status, world people wouldn't have known.
You've been ranting all over the different posts. So you too, go and rest. No one is above the law.
DeleteIt's an avoidable mistake @Eka.
Delete@Ekajoy I'm trying really hard to understand your point of view here, why make it look as if this whole thing is personal? The government is trying all it could to contain COVID'19 and there has been a clear order to maintain social distance, and then a celeb goes ahead to throw a party, what if someone contacts this virus from that party? Why thwart efforts of the government? People that heeded to the social distance order are not stupid...we want things to go back to normal, we want to live our lives again.
DeleteShe broke the law and the law is taking its course, yet you have been questioning why the case was taken up. Later you will open your mouth to call the country a zoo. Mschew
DeleteEka joy d omini Knowest!
DeleteRest abeg with all this ur
Useless rants!
Its okay.
ReplyDeleteHer jazz has spoilt. They should never have uploaded that video. Now they have to dance naked in the market square. This is what happens when your jazz spoils. Na disgrace next. Which one of you is next? Mercy aigbe maybe???
ReplyDeleteShame on you for saying this trash. I was one of the people who said her action especially that of her husband was wrong but will never go personal on her. Why are you bent on pulling Funke down. Se o ju oro yii lo ni? Ki lo de gan.
Delete17:11, You would have been next but you have no grace to even qualify for disgrace. When misery does its next rounds, you'll be the only customer as usual.
DeleteFunkee, abeg pick the lessons and move on. We all love your work but you messed up here and helped brew the perfect storm. This is why adult communication is important in marriage. Your husband could have lovingly shut down the idea of inviting guests for the sake of the health of the children living with you, your staff and yourselves. He could have reminded you of the adverts and how your brand may suffer if it got out. You could have lovingly told him not to post the pictures so word doesn't get out. You could have gone on without inviting guests. Someone should have been thinking of the kids and what may happen. You should have told him not to start insulting fans instead of apologizing. So much could have happened but instead this. I'm still rooting for you guys but please, pick the lesson.
@Anon 17:11. Your jealousy/envy is so glaring. Tufiakwa!!! Funke is not the cause of your badluck/ failure to blow inugo?
DeleteWell, that is the thing to do. Funke has a huge following. She flouted the law and the Law must take it's course. She is lucky not to have been sent to jail. What she did was unreasonable and her husband jeering on instagram the next day was idiocy at it's peak. She is lucky to have only been fined. Depending on what the Judge smoked that day, she could have been fined and still go to Jail. As for those calling for her unconditional release, are you people well at all? You want change in Nigeria but nobody wants to pay the price. Time to also go after all the useless big men, pastors, Alfas etc who think they are above the law. Small small Nigeria will get there and hopefully become a sane society. The journey far sha. Nonsense and Buhari
ReplyDeleteShe was not lucky not to have been sent to jail. She was sentenced accordingly, even got more than the required punishment.
DeleteThey have sentenced her and u are still here whining.
What do u want so u can finally have your happiness?
Jail term or death sentence?
The Judge didn't smoke anything. It's a misdemeanour and she's a first time offender. The punishment given is has expected
DeleteI hope you will have this same energy when other issues comes up in the country. awon hypocrite
DeleteServe them right.
ReplyDeleteNo way, Funke will be dropped by dettol management. When the money finish, father Abraham of a horseband will look for another gold to dig.
Go and do your community service, maybe in Amen Estate
Jesus Christ!!! May we not use our mouth to call doom on ourselves. Your money will probably finish before they will ever even begin to think of their money reducing.
DeleteWitches and wizards
As in....Posh, this is pure witchcraft. So bitter and full of bile.
DeleteWicked and stupid comment!!! I hope your life is perfect!!!
DeleteY'all wish JJC is jobless, clueless mofo!!!
Chaiiii see peoples evil side coming out. Jealousy is a disease, this hate isnt normal. Your fellow woman,a mother you are wishing for money to dry up so she's unable to feed her babies. Do you know how many families this women is feeding. The no of staff on her productions.
DeleteYou think endorsement is what gives Funke money. The lady is gifted all round, either shooting one series, movie or the other. You think this is going to affect her career? Your wish shall never come to pass IJN.
Someone what has his kids grow up in London is poor? You people should hold your mouth abeg. Besides, there's nothing wrong if Funke is richer than her man. Bad Belle people
DeleteSee envy o! I bet you cried when she gave birth to her twins. Demons truly roam about the earth.
DeleteAnd all you ignorant idiots on this post asking for unconditional release wait untill someone close to you gets the virus and pays the ultimate price. Ignorant twarts only here for giveaways. Their data is not for knowledge acquisition but to type rubbish. Very intellectually deficient bunch of people. You want classy we do classy. You want ghetto l full ground. Stella post my comments o. Rudeness should not be tolerated from anyone. You are rude to me l will be rude back.
DeleteThey roam oh, shenbrokenthe law and has received her just punishment. But what has her money and her husband got to do with her flouting the law. How small issues unmask the witches everytime.
DeleteKai!!! This is sad. Why must you wishes them evil?? Arent they paying the price already? What else do you want?
DeleteSee them crawling out like the vermins they are. Jealous and wicked souls. Posh, you have a wicked soul.
DeleteAnon 19.52 WITCH. That same Corona that you wish on peoples family is back to sender, back to you and urs in 1000 Folds.
DeleteWho is being sentimental. She has been handed her sentence. No point wishing ill luck on her family.
We are not devil incanate like you. Much as i feel Funke deserved what she got, will never wish brokeness and hunger on her beautiful family. Nkita
I hope lagos state will also arrest all those present in that court room today cause there was nothing like social distancing there, the joggers on gbagada road as they told them they will die if they exercised in their various homes and those that caused gridlock today at lekki when they were told to stay at home..they shouldnt just be picking which case they should prosecute
ReplyDeletePls take a look at that court room and see if it's crowded. Whatever happens outside the court is not the judges business. People crowded them outside not on the court room
DeleteAnon 17:25. I guess Funke partied in the court room too. Lmao. Stella, your BVs ehn
DeleteI hope lagos state will also arrest all those present in that court room today cause there was nothing like social distancing there, the joggers on gbagada road as they told them they will die if they exercised in their various homes and those that caused gridlock today at lekki when they were told to stay at home..they shouldnt just be picking which case they should prosecute
ReplyDeleteEayah, I feel for them. The punishment is lenient. The sum OK.
ReplyDeleteMay God be with them. It is well.
Ills of social media
Hope the world can now rest!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFunke, this should be a lesson to you...... Nigerians are not loyal!!!!
God bless you and your family and see you through this betrayal and hard time❤️❤️❤️
Betrayal? Who betrayed who? Smh.
DeleteThat people love her doesn't mean they shouldn't treat her fvck up when the need arises. She was very insensitive. If she wasn't, at least her husband was. The punishment handed out them is quite fair. Now we can move on from the whole ish..
Delete17.40 π
DeleteHope the world can now rest!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFunke, this should be a lesson to you...... Nigerians are not loyal!!!!
God bless you and your family and see you through this betrayal and hard time❤️❤️❤️
They are not oh! What a world!
DeleteWho betrayed who here? So when you Cookie preaches to us that killing is not good and we now saw you killing your neighbor's child, we should clap for you and sweep it under the carpet abi. If I report you to the police it means I have betrayed you. Are you sure you're on this planet because presently the planet Earth is experiencing COVID 19 which is killing people in their hundreds everyday. I love Funke, but this is a no.
DeleteReally! What does "loyalty" mean to you? She did something wrong and was called out, doesn't change the fact that she is loved by Nigerians.P.S I'm a die hard fan of jenifa
DeleteReally! What does "loyalty" mean to you? She did something wrong and was called out, doesn't change the fact that she is loved by Nigerians.P.S I'm a die hard fan of jenifa
DeleteWhat betrayal?? That she disobeyed the law?? Ok she betrayed herself by putting it on SM.
DeleteCan we move from this issue already πππππ
ReplyDeleteThen stop opening the posts ππ
DeleteThey'll be fine. It is well.
ReplyDeleteThis news sweet me, make i no lie.
ReplyDeleteOkay, use am drink tea na. Make ur own humiliation dey sweet others too
DeleteShe will get over it and maybe even make a movie/comedy out of it, making money from the drama sef. I will see what you will do that time
DeleteYeye dey smell.
This too shall pass
ReplyDeleteI love you big funke, nothing do you
ReplyDeleteA very good and reasonable judgement. Nobody is above the law. If she is smart, this teachable moment can be used for the greater good.
ReplyDeleteExactly.
DeleteEyah!!! Jenifa Pele. You should not have hosted the party at this time. It could have been postponed or better still not uploaded on SM..
ReplyDeleteI just hope and pray this JJC husband to Funke will not bring her downfall.
ReplyDeleteLesson learnt. I have learnt too. Funke, brace up.
How I wish that all d trolls on SM will pick a thing or two from ds Funke’s case, but for where. U guys that always insult & dissect how whoever should behave & act , una dey see so sey no body holy pass? Ds can happen to anybody, including ur favs & all those ur so called scandal free coded celebs . No body is above mistake , so is prone to one. I’m sure they might not do d community service or better still, come from their home bcoz of d twins. She has over 21:000 comments, & still counting for ds alone. Of course, for & against & her fellow celebs came thru to support her. She’s been used as escape goat to teach all of us a lesson on what awaits any offender.
ReplyDelete....a scapegoat....
DeleteThis is serious. She's now an ex-convict
ReplyDeleteAn ex convict is someone that was jailed and has done time or did time.. Funke is not an ex convict. Go and purge yourself of hatred
DeleteShooo!!!
DeleteWas she sentenced to jail? Ignorance is really a disease
Ex convict is a person found guilty of a crime by court of law and sentenced accordingly
DeleteEx convict!!!! Like 18:55 said this is ignorance.
DeleteWe have a serious argument here. I need a lawyer in the house to reply me. Pls does dat minor crime stop her from contesting for political position in future??
DeleteSince she was found guilty of a misdemeanor or minor crime and sentenced by a court, she is an ex convict.
DeleteYou don't have to be sentenced to prison to be an ex con. Someone who is sentenced to prison is not only an ex con but also a felon or inmate.
The crime of disobeying the directive given by the government will appear on her criminal record.
However, as it is a misdemeanor, the offense will most likely be expunged from her records after a waiting period. I'm sure she'll get her attorneys to sort that out soon enough.
On a whole, it's an unfortunate circumstance that I'm sure she regrets because it could have easily been avoided. It simply was a poor judgement call.
This is straight forward. The issue here is she pleaded guilty and court sentenced her to community service and fine.
DeleteApologies, she is a convict but will be a former convict / ex-convict once she has served her sentence.
Deletei think she should be forgiven....this should be a season of 'go and sin no more'.
ReplyDeletethe society is seeking the face of God for solution to this virus wahala.
a truth about seeking God for solution is...you have to be in forgiving mood.
no one is perfect, all of us make mistake, unless repeated...she should be cautioned and let go
How many years have they sentenced the pastors that held jam packed services.
ReplyDeleteFavoritism is not good.
I don't think it was favoritism, it just happened that she was the scapegoat here.
DeleteAwwww....pele dear
ReplyDeleteI love the both of them
Women, women, women. How many times I call you. No be Funke baiday. Na her husband baiday. But na she do party. Meanwhile na she get endorsement, na she be jeniva, na she police see to arrest. In summary na she get the brand in the spotlight!
ReplyDeleteWomen, women, women, love with sense.
I drop my mic here. Stella you must post my comment oh.
So everybody can rest now. Hun!
Useless govt that want to shine in any given opportunity, they have used her as an escape goat becos she is a public figure
ReplyDeleteThe problem with most Nigerians is they will love a celeb (which is not a bad thing at all) BUT become sentimental as regards issues concerning them. Lots of people have cancelled life events that are so monumental due to the lock down. They did because there is something much bigger and threatening to humanity and because the government said no movement .Then because someone is a celeb, flaunts the law as if saying ‘oh look it's not that serious’ . To hell with your sentimental asses. I love funke but the law is the law and they got what they deserved!
ReplyDeleteExactly Dear You do the time to pay for the crime
DeleteYou do not there is a big difference between telling someone the truth and rejoicing in someone's downfall right? Most of y'all were celebrating her dowmfall. QED!
DeleteThis is not her downfall. She's got her life before her.
DeleteIt was a correction to drive home the severity of this pandemic.
She was the brand ambassador of NCDC but obviously did not internalize the message from NCDC.
This case if far from curbing the excesses of the Nigerian society.
Cut the sentiments. Let's work towards a sane society which is a herculean task.
Phoenix u know this!
DeleteAnon funke is loved in this country, u have no idea! More reason most people were so disappointed! She is one actress I Can confidently say most Nigerians love and it's a FACT. I do not know if their are people who are rejoicing because there is nothing to rejoice about. The law is the law and it must be obeyed. Stop letting sentiments cloud your judgements.
This Funke Akindele saga just showed me that there are people who rejoice at someone's downfall.
ReplyDeleteYes, what she and her husband did is wrong. Yes, they should be arrested and fined for flaunting the law. But the kind of evil comments I have been seeing just makes me wonder. The same BVs who rejoice at her current issues will throw parties when someone closer to home experiences setbacks.
May God protect us from frenemies.
Funke is a strong woman. She will bounce back and even use this episode to make more money from her series. Watch and see.
But why she and her husband covered their faces outside the courtroom as if they're criminals?
ReplyDeleteThe judgement is fair enough. I am happy she's been punished for flouting the law. I look forward to same on recalcitrant religious leaders.
Hmmm, this is a big lesson....never saw this coming
ReplyDeleteThose of us who have encountered Funke in real life know she is nothing like she portrays. She's incredibly arrogant, very rude to her staff. Very unforgiving too. In short, Funke is a shitty person and a lot of the people in the industry can't stand her and her arrogance. And she's very verbally abusive, too. She will cuss you and your mother out at the slightest provocation. You see the Funke who did the video saying hang yourself with rope if you're upset at the party or whatever (I'm paraphrasing)? That was flashes of the real Funke. Her marriage too is not like she portrays, but that's for another day.
ReplyDeleteIf you know, you know.
None of these allegations have anything to do with the matter at hand which is that the broke the law she was paid handsomely to uphold and has now been punished for it.
DeleteAll this other beer saloon gist and unconfirmed gossip, take it to the lord in prayer. Stop holding your breath waiting for someone else to stumble- they'll dust themselves and get up while you remain where you are.
Funke disappointed many of her fans over the weekend but they still love her and would continue to support her work. She should just tender a true apology and use the community service to make up for the blunder. She has greater things ahead.
I've had an encounter with her at the Eko hotel around July last year and it wasn't a pleasant one,All I did was to open my ig and unfollow her after the encounter it's as simple as that. don't know why y'all rejoicing that she was stripped of her ambassadorial roles and bringing her marriage into this, that's wickedness. She has paid the price so let her be. Abi una never offend or curse others beforeππ
DeleteSo many people here dey fly without broom, I fear una since this shit happen o...witches without wings wicked souls
Anony 16:24 you are completely wrong, the 'UNKNOWNS' you see are many of those old bvs who owned GOOGLE+ IDs,who failed to activte and save up their Google photos, videos and Blogger Profiles before Google shut down personal profiles in the last weeks of March 2019.
ReplyDeleteSolely because they were not making profits from Google+ unlike their other Platforms like YOUTUBE,GOOGLE DRIVE et al.
(check your gmail inbox for those mails of 2019)
It doesn't mean they just changed their names to UNKNOWN. Some created another ID with same names but instead of 3,512 profile views, they now have 32views. I didn't want a clone of mine,I added (TM)to it.
Please be guided as you are keen on tagging old bvs for what they are not.
hahahahaha
DeleteI don die, please this comment is for the anonymous on IN HOUSE NEWS drawing wrong conclusions about UNKNOWN IDs, guess my device has gone gaga.
Miscarriage of justics! Anything short of 6 months in jail with no option of fine is injustice. Lock thwt bitch up and spare us the nuisance
ReplyDeleteThe community service should have been to make her wash dead body for mortuary for one week so that she will understsnd the gravity of exposing her guests to death. The judge no try at all
ReplyDeleteWhat did you smoke this morning???
DeleteWhat did you smoke this morning???
DeleteWhy are you guys so bitter??
ReplyDeleteShe broke the law,yess
What are you people jumping up and down and demanding for more punishment?? Please remove bitterness from your system, it causes cancer.
Tufiakwa!
I’m not an Attorney. However, a misdemeanor and a felony and a ticketed misdeed are different so to those referring to her as ex convict, it’s not accurate. At least by standards of civilized societies. Regardless, I’m of the opinion that anything that moves Nigeria towards social justice and equal treatment will result in a saner society. I have watched her Jenifa original movies with my then little children laughing at her mannerisms not really understanding what was being said. I’m not exactly a movie fan because I’ve always been a working parent/spouse but we watched it in the days of VHS. She is talented and hopefully can help in some tangible way like serve in an orphanage to show her remorse.
ReplyDeleteNo offense, the pastor of the large church should not be exempt from this type of example. I’m a staunch SU but churches here stopped gatherings a while back. It was still not enough. We lost one of the pastors in our 7000 congregation to COVID-19 last week! It is that serious. Some states only allow 10 people at funerals.
Funke, I wish you the best but give any excess money to raise young girls and boys like Oprah Leadership Academy and Morehouse 50 physicians whose school fees and lives were changed by Oprah. Oprah will be surrounded by several children and grandchildren in her old age as a result of the lives she touched. She already attends a lot of commencement ceremonies as her SA girls graduate from several colleges every year. Those are examples worthy of emulation. That is the kind of person I would actually love to copy as a person other than Jesus. To followers of any pastor who may want to utter negatives, remember this virus is like a stone thrown in the market, you don’t know where it will land. The British PM is fighting for his life. Curse causeless will not come on me in Jesus Name. He who has ears let him hear!
