    1. A lot of people are making customized face masks and donating to hospitals now. They are the best to use and your hand sanitizer also rather than wearing rubber gloves all day.

  9. Be there laughing.
We have been instructed here in the US to only go out if necessary with cloth made face masks that we have made from bandanas, tshirts, etc and leave the regular surgical and N95 masks for health workers. There even showing us how to make these make shift cloth masks with rubber bands. As not everyone has sewing capabilities.

If I see one of Mr. Ayade's masks to have or use one he, I will be very happy.
The TV banner says they are getting tailors to see millions of masks for free distribution to the people in the state. Oh, this made me happy.

Other states can take a cue from this. We may not need to import everything we need. Moreover, a good number of the pictures I have seen of these our ogas who have the masks on self, they have them on wrong, making them likely ineffective.

    1. Exactly. You can learn to sew this within 5 minutes. I used ankara to make for my friends and neighbours yesterday. And I'm making more everyday. The level of ignorance people are displaying regard this this thing is really pathetic.

  10. It can be washed in a washing machine hot water cycle. CDC says that's ok to kill any virus. If you no get washing machine, soak am for very hot water, pour dettol. Check out CDC site, they now recommend people wear a cloth face mask when going out and even included tutorials on how to make some.

  17. Wow,
This is hot commodity here oh! Just got an email that was sent to our University Alumnis to request all that can help make these cloth masks to be donated to the university's medical center due to shortage, these they say are being used for the non-covid care areas, etc. They had only gotten 2,000 made so far and were widening their plea.

So, at this stage is not the time to make fun oh. This is a deadly disease, and very desperate times.

    1. Leave educated illiterates alone. People can even start making money from this instead of just sitting down at home idle. I can imagine how many a yard of ankara can make.
