Rebecca said that, “All that matters now is the safe arrival of my precious Leah.”
She said she is now ready to take even an outlaw for in-law, rather than lose her daughter, adding, “You may call him an outlaw, but to me, her husband will be my son. I will take and treat him as an in-law,” as quoted by the Guardian.
Leah has remained in Boko Haram enclave on account of her refusal to renounce her faith even after her fellow 109 abductees were released to their families a month later.
She was the only Christian among the 110 schoolgirls abducted by the Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) from their school in Dapchi, Yobe State, on February 19, 2018.
Leah Sharibu turned 17 on Thursday, May 14, and marked her third birthday in captivity.

God please.... Mere onwe gi aha ebea. It's well with her.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you expect the poor woman to say? Anything to get her daughter released to her. As for treating him as an in law, by the time he dies a mysterious death in his next life he won't capture someone's underage daughter and wife her.
ReplyDeleteOtapiapia garnished soup things loading
DeleteI thinks it's the best decision she has taken. Since she cant change the situation, she better learn to accept and live with it.
ReplyDeleteFor all we care,Leah might have fallen deeply in love with her captor.
You're right Jare ,same thing I thought
DeleteWhich love? She is an underage please, that shouldn't be called love.
DeleteDon't say this abeg. I strongly believe she is saying this in the hope that they will release her seeing that she's accepted them.
DeleteThe mother of Leah is going through alot I pray her daughter is released soon. This experience is really heartbreaking
ReplyDeleteLord please strengthen her and keep Leah safe ππππ
Amen....πππ
DeleteThese people play too much.
ReplyDeleteI thought the girl stayed back because she refused to convert to Muslim in their camp but waiting for government i come and rescued her ?
Her mom that wasn't kidnapped is the one talking about accepting Boko Haram as inlaw if that wi ensured her release.
I just dey laugh.
This right here is so insensitive.
DeleteYou are not in her shoes. So stop!
You're so insensitive DON. I guess you're not a parent yet.
DeleteGosh. You just don't have sense. Geez!!!!!
DeleteSay whatever you like, it's just the plain truth you don't wanna hear or talk about.
DeleteYour country foots the medical bills of old men but has no sense of responsibility towards young children. That's sad.

ReplyDeleteThough others have said a lot concerning your thought pattern but I want to personally tell you, you are a very wicked person.
Deletepoor woman, this really broke my heart, knowing your child is alive and in captive, where you as a mother cannot help the child, that is the worst feeling. my prayer to all this morning is that God forbid we will be in situation that will cannot handle.
ReplyDeletewe
DeleteThis is heartbreaking.
ReplyDeleteWow this is just sad π’
ReplyDeleteSo apparently this girls only crime was:
ReplyDelete1,being a Nigerian
2,being a student of that particular school that where victims of the kidnap
3,Refusing to renounce her faith/Religion.
I really feel for the parents, it's well.
And the Government is busy granting terrorist group amnesty.
ReplyDeleteSharibu should have played a smart one on them by renouncing her faith in order to be set free like her mates, after which she can go back to her faith. Then she could seek asylum in any part of the world.
ReplyDeleteWhy stay back with those monsters, knowing fully well they won't let her off the hook. What was her motive for staying back and what was she trying to prove, or was she playing a game of luck etc.
Can we say she is a fanatic, whose reasoning is the same has her captive. So many questions which only she can answer because once upon a time, the ball was in her court.
Wisdom would have profited her in that scenario. Sometimes, we just have to survive by all means because no one can take away your religion or faith from you no matter how best they try.
I couldn't agree less with you Munisha.
DeleteAll wise one remember she was just 14
DeleteShe was only a kid though. Now she knows betta
DeleteThat is a huge burden to place on a 14 year old who has shown more strength, faith and loyalty to her principles and to the name of Jesus. Why can't the so called Christian Pastors pray and pay for her release? This npw 17 year old is a HERO and puts us all to shame.
DeleteI don't think we should castigate anyone who decides NOT to deny God. I think she did a very courageous thing at such a young age, one not many us can do. Our castigation should be for the Nigerian government.
DeleteAnd you think if she denounced she wouldn't have been killed?.. If you've stayed in the north, you'd know how they think about their religion.
DeleteDONT FORGET THAT ALL OTHERS THAT DENOUNCED WERE RAPED BEFORE RELEASE ......
DeleteChai, the pressure in accepting their fate is heart breaking.
ReplyDeleteGod please do something extra ordinary in this case.
Wait a sec....
ReplyDeleteIs there another Leah Sharibu different from the one that died last year ni???
Is this not the ECWA girl we mourned last year ni abi na her sister ni???
Abeg I need detailed explanation on this matter to back up my assumption and to be able to state my facts on what to say when asked.
People can lie oh......
Abi na her remains the mother wan see ni?
Oh dear!
ReplyDeleteThis is Just So sad
ReplyDeleteI really feel for this woman... I can't even imagine the pains she's feeling
ReplyDeleteShe's talking from a sad heart filled with pain and helplessness as a mother, knowing your child is still alive but in the midst of dangerous beings π’π’π’ so sad, may God see her through, there's nothing he can't do
ReplyDeleteπ’π’π’
ReplyDeleteThis is so sad, I dont even know what to say. π€¦πΏ♀️π€¦πΏ♀️π€¦πΏ♀️π€¦πΏ♀️π€¦πΏ♀️π€¦πΏ♀️π€¦πΏ♀️π€¦πΏ♀️π€¦πΏ♀️
ReplyDeletePathetic...
ReplyDeleteIt is well with her
ReplyDeleteEach time I read the news about this young girl,I weep for the country. The country failed her,our security agencies failed her and the Government failed her.Too bad
ReplyDeleteMy own is that all your Daddy GOs of Nigeria have never for one day fought for her or talked about her. It was just CAN that tried to bring her back but the Buhari govt kept reneging on the deal.
ReplyDeleteThe same energy they used in saving a Muslim girl in Saudi Arabia but couldn't find it to do the same for Leah.
Praying for Leah and her family.
