  1. She is refusing to do the test.
Let her stay there till she decides to have sense or till the pandemic is over.

    1. Are you one of those holding her? Cause its clearly written they have conducted test on her.

    2. If really she had it,this is day what? Please they should free the woman.

    3. Even if she doesn't do the test she would have died from it. Does it stay almost 2 months without any symptoms?

      They should free this woman.

    4. Anon 08:34, look at the way you just showed your ignorance by spewing rubbish. If she was asymptomatic, her test would have shown positive but NO,the Benue Government wants to hold her by all means necessary.
They should allow her go,if she was really positive, without drugs or care don't you think something drastic would have happened?.
I think they said they already moved her to Abuja, what then is happening, no one is saying anything.
I don't wish anyone to go through something like this. 🙏🙏🙏

    5. They are purposely keeping her there just to prove a point because they see her as difficult.
They do this all the time in Nigeria especially to women, even police does this. They purposely detain women they feel have been rude to them just to show power and prove a point.
If she had a husband that was here and fighting for her they would have released her to his custody. Just like how many ppl in authority dont listen to women until a man comes to speak for her. It is play of power, they known what they are doing.
Even abroad asymptomatic people they give them strict instructions to self isolate. You think the NHS has the time or resources to keep someone who isnt ill for 57 days? Even people with Corona with just slight symptoms they isolate in their homes and health workers may come to visit them from time to time, they dont have enuf bed space to keep a patient without life threatening symptoms for 57days.
Nigeria its their way,if she wants to be released she has to take a different approach, calm down and do all dat is required of her, when she now gets to UK she can sue them. This her forceful way wont work for her here especially being a woman.

    7. Nigeria is a joke, that's why I will never ever renew my Nigerian passport or travel to Nigeria with it.
I'm sure she came in with her passport and unfortunately I don't know if she can't be helped by the British government especially because of the pandemic situation.
Is it a crime to attend ones mother's burial? They've held her for too long, why is her situation different?
The Nigerian government has refused to address the situation.

  2. The NCDC and Benue state government are yet to respond to this call-out. I will be glad to read or hear what they will say is the reason for their act. I just pray something bad doesn't befall her there.

    1. Don't say they are yet to respond, ncdc and the ptf always have a daily briefing which is always shown on all our local news stations and journalist always ask questions. And this woman's topic has been brought up several times. Learn to make your research well and watch news instead of spending that time listening to nnamdi KANU radio

    2. Anon, if I may ask, what do they say is their reason? Please I want to know.

    3. You that have done the research why don't you shed more light on why she is been detained. All this tribal bigot trolling for no reason. Teejay again asked in a polite manner, you can reply or keep shut.

  7. Not everybody with the disease is symptomatic , up to 80% are asymptomatic. She’s kept in isolation because she’d spread it to other if she were moving about . We’re told she’s not released cos her tests hasn’t returned negative. We shld stop all this sensationalism. Atiku’s son was in isolation for more than 40days . Nobody can tell when the virus will be cleared. What she should be bothered about is why her immunity hasn’t cleared the virus. If she sues, she’d lose cos this is a matter of public health importance . That her daughter that’s asking for her to be released may even catch the virus if she’s released before turning negative.

    2. Whoever told you this lied and you swallowed it hook line and sinker.
Her case must be a special kind of corona virus and different from the one we know and read about.

It is a virus not an ailment, It dies off after a period. It cannot survive in the body for 2 months. Even if she was positive and refused treatment, she will be negative by now.

Who ever is holding her should publicly state why they are holding her?

Let the poor woman go, this is an abuse of power.

    3. And who told you her results haven’t been given to her( 9.28) and you must be very rude. Why calling someone you don’t know loud speaker? May God deliver you from you bitterness. As for you anon 9:49, where did you read that the virus can’t survive in the body for two months. I’d be happy if you can share the link of the research so we all learn

    4. @ 14.55, I am saying it emphatically that the virus can not survive for 2 months. I am not a doctor but I have listened to news everyday and read about the virus since this pandamic broke out. Do your research, read up about the virus, go to credible websites. Watch BBC news, go to WHo website. It is a virus, it has a life span and it dies off, cannot survive 60 days.

    This is wickedness!
Let the people of benue state and federal government speak out her offence.

  10. This woman... From day 1 she's been labelled as troublesome. She started a war she's not well equipped to fight. She for just calm down. She was asymptomatic. I'm sure by now she's free of the virus but they just want to teach her a lesson to not try and rubbish their government. Las las her stubbornness won't free her. Let her tone it down a bit.

    1. Thanks dear, she want to embarrass the Nigeria government.

    2. embarass which govt to gain what? or the benue state governement wanted to use her but she disallowed it. you take sample for test and without showing her results you rush to go and give a press conference that she has covid19. she is not a baby and at this stage you let peoole know what is going on. that is why she refused to take any medication. In nigeria when you demand things to be done properly they tag you stubborn. we can never move forward as a nation if we continue to tolerate rubbish and never speak up. i know the govt is lying saying she has refused to take test and she wants her test to be sent to WHO. she did the 5th test on the 14th of may, what is the result? how can you be testing someone and they dont see result.they are just punishing her for her refusal tolet them use her as the index case all for govt intervention. so the virus can live in your body for 57 days and you will still be asympthomatic?

    3. Thank you Baby Oku.
She blatantly refused them to use her that is why she is suffering and anyone that wants to do the right thing will suffer in this country that is why its difficult for the country to change.

    4. @ rhapsody, this is not a matter of being stubborn, she knows what is right and she has refused to be subdued or used, what lesson are they trying to teach her nah, rubbish country, rubbish govt.

  11. 57 days and yet to show any symptoms? Well I don't understand again. Ncdc and Benue state government should address this issue.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Why aren’t they showing them the result tho? It’s inhuman to keep someone locked up without showing them proof. The psychological effect alone should have forced illness on the woman, making the doctors there term it the virus. This is the 57th day, and she’s still not showing symptoms? By no, no matter how strong your immune system is, it should be showing signs.
It’s all fun and games till you find yourself in the woman’s family shoes.
    .there’s more to this story.

  13. The power that be, is behind this woman's detention!
They know she's no longer a carrier of the Wuhan virus, but they can't just let her go because they are trying to pass a message.

When I said NCDC is corrupt, people will be attacking me. They are not reliable.

    They should free this woman!!!

    1. Yes Eka, nothing is truly reliable.

A woman took her child to a clinic for treatment of malaria and when they were done, gave her a receipt of payment and the narration was treatment for Covid instead of Malaria. The woman questioned them and was told it was the instruction they were given.

So you see, Nigeria is scam. I don't doubt that there's Covid in Nigeria but I seriously doubt it is as bad as they are portraying. Everywhere you look, there's corruption. I wonder if we will ever move forward in this country.

  20. This woman up there is trouble, those of us in Benue were against the Governor when he announced her full name as an index case and how her case was handled. But watching how she has maligned the Minister for Health and NCDC even after they obliged her request and moved her from Makurdi to Abuja gives me reasons to question her sanity.
Why is her case so special that they will want to hold against her will when other Nigerians and expatriates have been treated and discharged.
The rule is that before you are discharged or cleared for discharge a final test must be carried out to ascertain if you are negative or positive but this woman have refused to be tested and said if must be done, then the test must be carried out by WHO and it must be done in London.
To be me she is an ingrate and very unreasonable. Why can't she submit herself for the final test.
And trust Nigerians to always be sentimental and always jump to conclusions before rationalizing issues.

  24. I just hope she's not dead

Because I don't understand again, and why won't they feed her, if other cases are been fed.

There's something fishy going on and only those in it would know

  25. NCDC and the FG are not being fair to this woman. 57 days in your isolation center and she's still alive? What are they afraid of? Or is it pride or fear that she has remained there? Nigerians, please let's speak out for her release, the psychological torture she has gone through is too much.

  26. I don't know we get overly emotional about things that are straight forward. It costs the government to keep her and she is of no value to the government, sick. The simple thing is that no test has returned negative yet. A Jeventus footballer, Dybala was testing positive for 6weeks with his girlfriend. They got out after the 6th week. Prince Charles got well after 7days but PM Boris Johnson almost died. Abba Kyari died, or are you telling me that government concocted the virus to kill its chief of staff. I have found out that in Nigeria, we love to believe the absurd. She is still positive and no, she is not in the care of the Benue state government but the FCTA.
