    1. is there Yoruba or Hausa style of making Egusi

      Delete
    2. Yes @ DeHeroine, frying egusi is not igbo style. We cook direct, if you understand.

      Delete
    3. Don't Yoruba people add tomatoes to theirs? Plus the one we make at home has uziza leaves.

      Delete
    4. @DeHeroine, yes. There's what we call "secret ingredients", different tribes has their own SI.

      Delete
    5. Yes @DeHeroine,there's an Igbo way of cooking egusi soup. Ever heard of agbaluatii?? I can never eat egusi soup in a restaurant because the way they cook, which isn't bad by the way is different from the way I cook mine. so she's right, I understand where she's coming from.

I don’t have just one favorite...I love oha soup, egusi soup and bitterleaf soup.

But, if push comes to shove and I have to choose, then it’s oha. Can’t remember the last time I had oha soup 😏. Can’t wait. First heard about fisherman soup on this blog. Never tried it but it sounds like something I may like cause I love seafood 🥰

    1. Abeg Banga soup is overrated. Just oil, no vegetable. I once ate it in Warri in a very popular restaurant and I almost vomited it. How can I be eating just oil and starch? Mba biko. Soup should have vegetables in it. My opinion though

    4. Dear anonymous, If you want want to try a food you've never had before, just download 3 different recipes on how to make the food, cook it yourself, that way, you'd really get to know what and how the food tastes. Some of these people running a restaurant business can not cook to save their lives so you can never judge by eating from them.
If you want to enjoy your banger soup babe, add a little utazi leave to it while cooking and make sure to eat it with a neatly well pounded akpu (fufu) trust me babe, you'd thank me later.
