Minister of Education in Zambia, David Mabumba was on Wednesday sacked by the country’s President Edgar Lungu after nude video clips of him went viral on social media.
The Minister’s dismissal was contained in a statement from the Presidency, signed by Lungu’s spokesperson Isaac Chipampe.
Although no reason was pinpointed for his sack but it may not be unconnected to the viral video of him masturbating.
The Minister was seen in the video fondling himself while on live WhatsApp video with a woman.
The video has since generated a lot of controversy and debate in the country and around Africa.
While the Minister is yet to comment on the video, police in the country are now investigating the circulation.
Mabumba has been replaced by Dennis Wanchinga.

DeleteIt's just so unfortunate that a lot of men are morally bankrupt. I met someone on a dating app and during our early conversation, this guy kept on talking about how girls on the app expose their naked bodies to him without requesting on WhatsApp calls. He kept praising me about my high educational standards and career growth. In my mind, I thought I had met someone with some decency although I only wanted friendship initially cos I'm not letting anyone into my life without trying the spirit anymore. Just some days into talking with the guy, he started talking about how he's deeply attracted, blah blah blah. I for one will never expose my body to you be it as my boyfriend, fiance or anyone on a video. I'm not cut out for such. Next thing he shows me his penis another day but apologized later when I didn't play along. I then thought this guy was not who he claimed to be. Do you know that he suddenly stopped chatting with me after a few days of him constantly crying he's horny and I didn't oblige him "phone sex". Good riddance to bad rubbish cos this is a crucial time for me. My prayer is that God will continue to remove the chaff who are not meant to move with me to my next level in life. My advice to single ladies out there, just give people time, they will manifest their true intentions.
