Protesters Storm US Embassy And Demand Arrest Of Atiku And Dino Melaye After Hushpuppi's Arrest

Some Protesters on Monday took to the US Embassy, Abuja,to demand for an investigation into the link between ex-Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, Timi Frank and some Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftains with Raymond Abbas Igbalode, popularly known as Hushpuppi.

The group, under the aegis of Concerned Citizens Forum (CCF), seen in their numbers held placards calling for the arrest of Atiku, Melaye and other PDP members linked to the fraudster.

Some inscriptions from the placards read: “Say No to fraud, Interpol act now”, Interpol act and arrest Dino Melaye”, “Show me your friend and I will tell you who you are”, “FBI should investigate Atiku Abubakar,” amongst others.

They also submitted a letter to the US Ambassador and the Federal Bureau of Investigation calling for a thorough probe of Hushpuppi’s political allies in the PDP.

This is coming after the All Progressives Congress (APC) had alleged “criminal conspiracy linking the top PDP members to Hushpuppi.

The protesters submitted a letter signed by Comrade Adamu Kabir Matazu.

In the letter, Matazu called on the US to investigate the connection between PDP high profile Chieftains and Hushpuppi.

The group claimed that ex-Vice President, Atiku Abubakar’s frequent trips to Dubai prior to 2019 presidential elections may not be unconnected to Hushpuppi.

They asked the US to go after Atiku, Dino Melaye, Timi Frank and other PDP stalwarts who through their associations with Hushpuppi may have helped to launder the proceeds of crime.

    1. Dino and atiku may not have anything to do with online fraud. Rich people like to associate themselves with other rich people. The day they will say Ned Nwoko is a ritualist, does it mean they should arrest all nollyWood actors? 😏

  2. So it’s the FBI and interpol that APC want to use as a weapon to play their political games?😫

If truly they are linked with him in any shady deal or anything, am sure during the course of their investigation before apprehending him, they would have found out or if he is still undergoing investigations or interrogation it will be revealed, so wait till then or rather march like this when our politicians commit crime and the evidence is made public but no arrest is made, eg the ganduje dollar’s saga am just saying 😫

  4. So because Interpol has don’t the work your EFCC was supposed to do, Una don get mouth to demand for the arrest of anyone who traveled frequently to Dubai or appeared in pictures with HushPuppy.
What happened to your EFCC & Magun?
Shouldn’t y’all be hiding your head in shame?
    Making meaningless demands.
Typical, always waiting for someone to do their job for them.

  6. I wonder why they could not protest for all the senseless killings in the north , all the pandemic donations to Federal Government that has entered voice mail and people are dying of hunger, the stagnant economy , the President we see once in a blue moon, the recent increase in petroleum products amid the pandemic and relieving people of their jobs because of paucity of funds. Now just because these people took pictures with Hushpippi, they should be arrested. These people are obviously given N500 each to come out and contact corona virus. They should all be arrested for shunning social distancing.

  11. Stupid set of people with misplaced priority. Where were they when their local politicians are busy stealing public funds and stashing it abroad? Did they speak up or ever tried to protest? I expected them to protest to every government house demanding accountability from their leaders instead of being used as political tools by people whose kids and family are somewhere enjoying the comfort of their loots. Nonsense!

Seriously the country tire me. I wished there was a revolution spearhead by the youths but they seems not to care and instead take side with religion, tribe and mediocrity.

  15. I'm so disappointed in this. Very irrelevant protest. At least the US you can be sure will not cover anyone should they find out that others are involved in this Hushpipi saga. Why not wait.

So Atiku, or Timi or Dogara who I care less about should be investigated because they took a pix?
They took a pix that makes them friends?

Haba! We can do better than this. And is the APC not worse in rigging elections?/

  21. Nigeria is a perfect example of let your prayers be specific! In 2015, Nigerians all over were chanting, "We want change. We want change".

Well...change can be for the worse (negative), or it can be for the better (positive). You certainly got your change, it just wasn't what most of you wanted!
