Mailafia was later released a few minutes past 6pm after for six hours.
Mailafia had been invited by the DSS to appear at its office on Wednesday following an interview he granted to a radio station in which he accused a northern governor of being a commander of Boko Haram.
Mailafia arrived at the DSS office located on West of Mines Street around 12:30 pm in an ash-coloured Range Rover vehicle marked Abuja 843 LX.
He was immediately ushered into one of the offices alongside his lawyer, Pius Akubo, SAN, while others who came with him in solidarity were barred from entering the premises.
Those, who were denied entrance, were later joined by placard-carrying protesters who demanded the release of the former CBN deputy governor.

A country where killers are giving amnesty saying they are repentant but the same govt cannot extract vital information from these so called repentant killers as to who thier sponsors are. If anyone comes out with information with bokoharam's sponsors,this useless DSS will flex their muscles arresting such person for questioning but can't do their job gathering intelligence to get the sponsors of bokoharam. I am tired of this country.
ReplyDeleteSorry but if you did your research you will know that firstly,why some terrorist attack have been aborted is cause they get information from those repentant Bh members.secondly if you did you research, you will also know that the BH members that you guys shout should be dealt with ,you can't prosecute them cause there's no proof that they committed any crime you won't arrest me cause I carried a gun you will arrest me cause you have proof that I used the gun to hurt someone,thirdly,the rehabilitated members surrender, thhey are not captured.,after surrendering they give information,and are granted amnesty , they are taken through rigourous processes to change their mind set .plus the fact that Nigeria is not the first country going through the rehabilitation solution they are up to 10-15 countries that have this even the un gives guidelines for it.nobody is happy but sometimes you weigh the advantages and the disadvantage before giving your opinion.and I can't list everything but please before you insult Nigeria which I hate cause you guys complain and can't give a substantial solution do your research don't say things cause everybody say things or cause you have a preconceived mindset it's not right,find out before you draw your conclusion.

ReplyDeleteGod bless you for this comment. Nigerians will never challenge their oppressors. We need more people like him to fight the real enemies of these country. But imagine some people saying "good for him" "now he will shut up" . its really sad.
