Igbo Group Suggests Politicians From South-East Who Are Qualified To Be President Of Nigeria In 2023

An Igbo political association, Igbo for President Solidarity Group, has suggested 11 politicians from the South-Eastern states that are “qualified to be presented as presidential candidates in 2023 general elections”.

President of the group Dr. Olukayode Oshiariyo, announced the names after the meeting of the congress in Abuja on Friday, observing that time had come for the country to produce a president from among the Igbo.

“IPSC has come to the conclusion that in 2023, a man or woman of Igbo extraction will become the president of Nigeria.

“IPSC will engage in consultations across the six geo-political zones, visitation to Emirs, Obas, Eze, Obi and chiefs, to discuss and examine the characters and integrity of the eleven persons suggested,’’ PunchNG.com quoted Olukayode say.

The politicians suggested by the group are

Dr Ogbonaya Onu,

Peter Obi,

Dr Chris Ngige,

Rochas Okorocha,

Dave Umahi,

Orji Uzor Kalu,

Ike Ekweremadu,

Enyinnaya Abaribe,

Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi,

 Ifeanyi Uba,

 Kingsley Moghalu.

“Since 1999, South-West, North-West and South-South have produced presidents, conventionally, power rotates for equity and justice as implied in the Principles of Federal Character.

  7. Another factor they must consider aside the candidacy is party affiliation. The party chosen must appeal to other regions because you can't choose a party that is not known to the grassroots.

So after selection, the time to start working is now and not tomorrow, the earlier the better.

  13. From all d comments I see here I can understand that a lot of people especially from d south dont understand politics. They calculate it based on just personal sentiments for particular candidates without due consideration for major factors involved in voting.how many of these ur favourites can swing any reasonable votes in any of d major political parties in their primaries b4 even considering other political regions.that is a core factor u always feel u can neglect n u come back after n cry foul.u dont necessarily have to be a good man to be elected, u have to be someone that can swing votes in d majority of d regions n have political trust in ur party that their interests will be protected. Why do u think a character like trump was elected in America? The only serious candidates there r Rochas, orji Uzor n Ngige.others play only local politics
