May her soul continue to Rip
ReplyDeleteMr Dennis I am very sorry about your loss..The country wey you dey no dey value human life..Dr Adadevoh was not honoured even when they clamoured for National honours..The response was that it cannot be given posthumously..But we can reward thieves, scammers and wicked lots with national honours...Please honour her in your own way..Forget Nigeria my dear
DeleteOh dear Phoenix, you have just said it all. You nailed it.
DeleteA country that has sub zero regards for hardwork and integrity.
May The Soul Of Justine And All The Faithful Departed Through The Mercy Of God Rest In Peace, Amen.
I feel his pain.
ReplyDeleteI said same thing 2years ago that whenever ebola story is being told, Nurse Justina and the ward maid aren't recognised.
ReplyDeleteI always have this thought and wondered why the lady was not honor nor remember.
Deleteit wasn't just the Doctor Who paid the price, nurses like this lady did too. I understand why he would feel this way. May Her soups rest in peace and I pray God comfort him and family she left behind.
ReplyDelete*soul
DeleteThis country is not worth dieing for..
ReplyDeleteRest in peace to her..
Let govt just do even the littlest. Stella Adedavoh her boss has been immortalised. They both took same risk.
ReplyDeletePlease where was she immortalized? I believe it was a crowd effort cause Govt has refused to honour that woman..
DeleteShe was phoenix ,she was even named after a place or street
DeleteThey recognized the doctor and totally ignored others that also sacrificed their lives to curb the spread of Ebola. Nurse justina should also be given state recognition and her family compensated.
ReplyDeleteContinue to rest in Peace gallant nurse.
Nurse justina should be given state recognition and her family compensated.
ReplyDeleteRest on Nurse justina
ReplyDeleteI feel his pain, may her soul rest in peace. There is a dichotomy in the medical profession between doctors and other medical practitioners, this is just a reflection of it.
ReplyDeleteYou are right about the dichotomy going on between Doctors and Nurses.
DeleteLike the case that happened in Enugu state, though last month where Meals for the Medical Personnel (Doctors and Nurses) working in the Isolation Center were different.
The Doctors were served rice with chicken while the Nurses were served with fish!
Such pettiness.
Can you imagine? So nurses are lesser human beings. Meanwhile, they are closer to the patient than the doctors and they are at more risk. So sad
DeleteThis story is truly not about the disparity between doctors and nurses. Dr Stella wasn't exalted just because she died from Ebola. Dr Stella recognised that Patrick Sawyer had an illness which was out of the usual malaria symptoms. She suspected he had Ebola, despite not ever seeing a physical case of it before, and prohibited him from being discharged despite his threats and tantrums. She suspected a case of Ebola which shs knew was deadly, and she did not flee neither did she send the patient out of her clinic to infect more people. Despite receiving different calls from authorities, she stood her ground and insisted he must be tested and proceeded to contain him in the hospital, to prevent him from infect others. That, is the heroic act for which she is being exalted for. We sympathise with every other person that got mixed up in the event and thus lost their lives. But please, it's not because she was a doctor or anything like that. Some other doctor might not have taken the actions that she did, or showcased such bravery. She is indeed a Hero.
DeleteThank you miss Lynn.
DeleteThank you mz Lynn for giving us the complete information
DeleteWow, did not know all this. Thanks for posting.
DeleteThanks for taking your time to explain Ms Lynn
DeleteSorry I had to laugh at them serving doctors with meat and Nurses Fish... Fish isn’t a sign of disrespect na, it’s only in Nigeria that we think that way 🤷🏽♀️. When I go out, I would rather eat fish and it’s more expensive.
Regardless, it’s not proper for them to serve doctors and nurses two different kinds of food
My dear this country tire me.
ReplyDeleteI guess the Nigerian medical association pushed and got Stella Adedavoh immortalized, what has nursing council done? Nothing!!!
Well I pray she rest in the Lord. That would be the best thing that happened to her weather she is immortalized or not. RIP to all who Lost their lives in the line of duty for a good cause.
So sad !
ReplyDeleteShe and the other staff that lost their lives needs to be recognised and their families compensated
Rest on Justina
ReplyDeleteShe was studying pharmacy but left in her 5th year due to challenges that wear not her fault. She went to study nursing. The very first week of working as a nurse was the week the Liberian man came with Ebola into Nigeria and that was the week Justina died.
ReplyDeleteMay her soul continue to rest on.
From the narrative above by her FIANCE, she contacted the virus in her first week of resumption and died THREE weeks later.
DeleteMay she rest in peace
Nigerian govt, pls do the needful for once. Imagine how ebola would have dealt with us if these people didn't risk their lives to save Nigerians.
ReplyDeleteMay their souls continue to RIP
RIP to her and other who lost their lives trying to protect this country
ReplyDeleteReading this story brought back memories from that year, the fear the worry, but because of people like this we scaled through, such that Ebola became a thing to create memes with and laugh about.
ReplyDeleteContinue to rest in peace gallant heroes that died for this country, even though the country has refused to honor you, we the citizens remember and appreciate you.
May she rest with the Lord .Accept my sympathy Sir
ReplyDeleteMay the souls of this heroes continue to rest in peace. Nigerian govt, please give recognition to this heroes. Show Nigerians and their loved ones that they did not die in vain. Make us proud to be Nigerians with little things like this.
