  1. 1. Work from home, I get to save transportation and avoid traffic hassle and I can juggle home care and work.

    1. Number one, because if you stay in Lagos, and with the increase in petrol, you will spend more than half of 180k for transport fare and lunch, making your take home pay small

      So am taking the 130k

    2. The first one makes a lotta sense o.😉😜

    4. I'll take No.2

I do not wanna be staying at home all day with 3 kids.

      They can drive someone insane.

    5. 2 all the way! Staying at home abi working from home will kill me slowly.

    6. For me It depends, If I have to stay in Lagos traffic for about 2/3 hrs every morning and evening to get to work/back home thus shortening my life span, I will peacefully work from home.

But If No 2 is close to home, I will opt for No 2.

The feeling of waking up in the morning, bathe and dress up for work is a good and energetic feeling 😊 and I love it

    1. From this post, you can deduce those who are introverts and those who enjoy being out there, meeting people, making friends and enjoying the scenery. 🤷‍♀️

    2. I concur. There is something about waking up in the morning, bathing, dressing and having a nice breakfast that sets a positive tone to your day. That's why I love my job. I resume every morning at 8.30 am and close at 5.30 pm. I work from Monday to friday and I have the evening and saturday and Sunday to take care of myself and relax.

    5. That feeling of getting out of bed to get ready for work is priceless. Working from home doesn't get me going at all unlike the energy I get from being out there.

    6. Same here. Social interaction is very key too.

  4. No. 2 of course. What's 9am?
Wake up, enough time to get dressed and move.

    1. That fuel thing eh! It wasn't funny during the lockdown. Then I also had phone network issues.

  6. I'll go with number 2 - Resume office...

I'll take this because I love to be up and about doing what I love. It helps me to be active and not add weight.

The proximity of the office to my house and closing time will also determine if I should take it or not.

  7. Number 2.
Staying at home makes me sick

  10. Aside the cost of transportation, the stress and manpower time waste daily on the road due to traffic won't make choose number 2. So number 1 for me.

    ReplyDelete
  11. 130k abeg. Going to the office, you will pay for transport, and maybe eat out.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Working from home, it's a no brainer. I'd just assume the N50K I'd lose is the cost for not dealing with the crazy traffic in Lagos, no stress, money saved on fuel and other miscellaneous things.

  13. Option 1, work from home. That is what I'm currently doing. Just that, I'm self employed. Aside the fact that I make cool cash working from home, I have serious phobia for going out. In fact, I hate going out with a very strong passion. The thought of going out makes me extremely sick. Too many things runs through my mind whenever I am to go out.
The thought of being in a place full of people (eg malls, bank) and being touched makes me so scared. I hate being touched except a touch from family and genuine loved ones.

    1. I used to be you till God saved me from extreme paranoia, now I am gradually adjusting and learning to be free, but I still hate going to the market where I squeeze in between people and their bodies touch me or where someone involuntarily touches me, it freaks me out.

    2. You better start going out on weekdays..
most places aren’t crowded at mid morning..
      Please, try it.

    3. Gosh, so there are people like me??? I literally have to cajole myself to go out...I know its a disorder or something...

  16. I'll go with the first.....
Transportation in lagos is unfair and traffic is too much

    ReplyDelete
  17. I choose #130, 000 to work from home cos I won't have to spend on transportation and mostly importantly, the sun and Lagos mad traffic won't be my portion 😂😂😂

  18. Those who belong to Christ are led by
    the Spirit. Romans 8:14
The Spirit of Christ helps you to
make these life decisions. It is not
when you are faced with problems that
you involve him. Get him involved from
the outset and he will be the one
    shielding you from problems.
    His choice is mine.
That is what having a PERSONAL relationship with Christ means. You involve him in your personal matters; marriage, job, place of abode and so on.
    Peace.

  20. 130k/work from home. I'll have more time for myself and family and even do other businesses, rest very well when I want to

    ReplyDelete
  21. Option 1: work from home. This will also help me, attend to my home work which is also very important.

    It's a win-win for me.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Work from home of course. The time spent at home will give me the opportunity to chase side hustles. I can answer emails from my phone and attend meetings with my camera and mic off. Since I’ve been working from home I’ve been so relaxed and super productive. Better for my family too.

  23. Offer No2 not because of the money involved but because of the fact that I'll get to go out more and meet people cos I love meeting people..

    ReplyDelete
  24. The first one of. Work from home . Staying safe, no stress wow and transportation is outta it.. peaceful hustle

My peace cannot be compared to 50k extra.

  28. If it where to be possible, I'd only but go out when it's a necessity, Going out is usually a big nsogbu to me. So, I'd gladly go with the first option.

  29. Work from home for me as a mother and also have to save transportation.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Work from home is not free and easy as many of you will think. You will spend more on subscription and fuel depending on how many hours you will commit to work everyday.
While going to office will only cost you transport fare or money to fuel your car as the case may be. Which won't be much compared to the money you will spend on subscription and fuel for the generator, if you work from home.
Again, there may be distractions at home that may hinder you from committing effectively to your work.
There will also be pressure as your employer may not be so lenient with you as he/she will be with the person who works from the office, considering the fact that you work from home.

    1. Work from home does not just cost fuel for car?

      Do go to work naked?
Don't you eat at the office?
What about colleagues who you may need to make sundry purchases for?
Office contributions for things happening onsite that you are compelled to pay for.

Have you calculated the wear and tear on your physical body or your mechanical body( car) waking up early and getting home late virtually everyday?

So subscription and generator is costly?
      Are you online 24/7?
If you are, then its obviously an intrinsic part if your job and your company like most companies will give you a data allowance.

Generator, get solar. As I honestly don't think your generator should be on 24/7. Even if you live in a place where electricity is a phantom of the imagination.

  31. I'll rather go with the second one.
    1. For myself all the baby weight I lost I gained them back in multiple folds that I don't even understand, me that was a size 8 is now wearing 12..the hustle and bustle of each day helps me keep fit. Me that will walk over 10,000 steps daily when I go to work is now walking #500 steps at home
    2. My boss feels when you're not in the office you're not doing anything and she's wasting money paying you.
This lockdown that I've been working from home, I've seen my boss in the worst state, she will just call and be shouting. If I'm in the bathroom and I miss her call which I will return within 5 to 10 minutes it's third world War.. I'll rather go to the office biko let me meet people, face my work and return home

  32. I will go with no2

  33. No 2 is okay for me. I didn't complete the three months maternity leave when I had my baby. Staying at home is just a no for me not for any amount

  36. Work from home all the way!Lagos traffic is mad. I have been working from home since March and I'm loving it. My kids and I have bonded so well. We have established daily routines to ensure they don't distract me and things are working well. I'm an introvert so I dey my natural habitat!!!

    1. So true. Anyone working in Lagos will go for the second option. Working from home is the new normal.

  39. If i am a mother with children still in their formative years that is ages 0 - 12 years, i will choose no 1. it will afford me great opportunity to mold by the principles of God my angels into palace of priests.

But if they are out of the formative years and if i am a man, i will go for number 2. A man should set the standard of diligence for his family. Inculcate the virtue of dignity in labour. So as a man, i go for number two.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I will take job no 2 offer because working from home will make me lazy and unproductive. It's not about the higher pay but my overall wellbeing.
