EndSARS Protesters Prevented From Entering Awkuzu SARS Premises By Armed Men

There was disagreement at the headquarters of the recently disbanded police arm, SARS in Anambra on Friday as thousands of youths who marched to the place insisted on searching the compound.

The youths’ insisted that some suspects were usually killed and buried inside the compound housing the SARS offices.

One of the protesters who spoke with Dailypost said, “We gathered that they usually bury some killed suspects inside their compound. We want to exhume their bodies so that their loved ones would know that they are dead and give them burials.”

Attempts by the protesters to access the compound was rebuffed by armed security men, resulting in an argument.

The angry protesters were irked by the refusal of the policemen to grant them access and resorted to blocking the Enugu-Onitsha expressway.

Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Haruna Mohammed who reacted to enquiries from Dailypost said the former SARS compound has been turned into an annexe of the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID)

“It is now CID Annex. They (suspects) held in the centre are being profiled and investigated to ascertain the allegations levelled against them. Those found wanting would be prosecuted while those cleared would be released unconditionally,”

    1. Bullshit, they should stand their ground and invade those premisis. The truth of what happened to innocent people behind those gates and walls must be uncovered and the officers involved prosecuted and jailed.

    2. We need to learn how to do things first, before making it public knowledge. When I saw their BC yesterday informing the public to come with shovel to that location, I knew they will not be granted access. Take them by surprise and see them shake in fear.

  2. They are just wasting their time. That abattoir must be ransacked. I knew they would try to deny the protesters entry but e no go work for them.
I know that place very well as far back as 2007.. anytime you're passing behind you must hear someone shouting for his life, then next you'll hear gunshots and silence would follow.. I remember them picking up my friend one evening, they came to arrest and were first in a car observing, my friend only crime was that while passing, he and the guy they came to arrest exchange handshake.. na so them rush pick the guy come carry my gee join.. he was there for either a week or 2, can't really remember, but he saw hell.. the way they hang people like goats, how they hang people upside-down and light a stove under their head etc..
Early 2008, IN akwa, I and 2 friends were going to a last discussion club around midnight.. the way I took off when those Sars guys blocked us ehn,.. thank God I wasn't shot at but I would have preferred that than going into their cell.. they picked my 2 gees and some other innocent people.. I slept in an uncompleted story building with a young aboki suya seller, the old hausa men kept arguing with him in their language, don't know if it's cos he brought me or they wanted to use me to do suya but him no gree LOL.. I couldn't even sleep all night cos of my friends that were picked.. the next day.. I and the aboki guy went to the station.. as we entered my friends who were at the counter wanted to rush me.. omo I kept a straight face oh.. I just told the aboki guy the colour of clothes they were wearing and bounce.. went to chill at a bar close by.. while there I saw those Sars guy returning to the station.. them no kuku know me LOL..

To cut the long story short, my new aboki friend claimed my friends were his friends who were coming to see him at his suya spot that night they were picked up.. they asked for the 3rd guy that ran and claimed I ran because I was holding a gun๐Ÿ˜‚.. my aboki guy insisted that there was no 3rd guy as these were the only 2 friends he has.. they sha collected 10k and freed my gees.. in 2008, 10k was big money oh..

We later took the aboki to club the next Friday.. old memories mahn.. memos from my 2 years in Anambra state ๐Ÿ˜‚

    3. You're right about these Anambra SARS people!!

I schooled in awka and that was the first place I heard about SARS...... Bunch of wicked animals, God is just too merciful

    4. God bless Aboki. But doesn't this say a lot about inequality of citizenship. The police gave more priority and avoided trouble with Aboki but would literally kill you(a southerner) without concerns. Why? The "know" we no follow.

    5. These stories are quite chilling.
Like I cannot even imagine how many souls has been wasted as a result of infamy
When I was reading about that James guy I just remembered a police that was attached to my dad some years back , after hearing about his evil atrocious ways , dad requested for a replacement.
Some years ago , this guy lost his whole family to fire outbreak and a lot of people believed it was the blood of the innocent people that took vengeance.
He lost everything, even his home !!! He almost ran mad. They'd keep paying for their crimes.

    6. Such a sweet story @chovolat. I can't believe how much this gladdens my heart considering that lives were lost. They know how to kill members of other families but will like to go home to their family. I hope he finally runs mad and dies a painful, miserable death.
I can't wait for karma for James Nwafor.

  5. Very easy for them to investigate and prosecute citizens but can't do the same for every Sars officers that worked in that particular location. Now now, they have turn the place to Cid annex? Liars!!!!! God will judge all of them

  6. It is sad and also shameful that the people of anambra and all the governors, even Peter obi could keep quiet for so long in the face of such audacious atrocities. So if there is no protest you people will continue like that. It baffle me tbh.
