Ex Governor Ezeife Says God Wants An Igbo To Become Nigeria’s Next President

Chukwuemeka Ezeife, a former governor of Anambra State, has said God has approved the emergence of a Nigerian President of Southeast extraction.

Ezeife asserted this on Monday in Awka, Anambra State during a summit for the grand opening of the Global Movement for Igbo Presidency 2023.

The elder statesman noted that people of the Southeast are change agents who believe in developing any region they find themselves.

He stated that the Southeast makes Nigeria looks like a nation, hence should produce the next president in 2023.

“It appears God in heaven is saying it is time for a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction. Other Nigerians seem to believe in Igbo president more than the Igbo people.

Igbos are the development agents of Nigeria. We make Nigeria look more like a nation. We believe culturally in developing any part of the world we find ourselves in.

“We deserve to be given a chance and I am glad that our people in diaspora and from other tribes unanimously agree that an Igbo president is what Nigeria needs to take the next strides towards development,” Ezeife said.

The former governor had earlier stated that the Southeast was ready to go on knees in begging to be allowed to produce Nigeria’s next president, in 2023.

  1. Oya now, the most tribalistic ethnic group on Nigeria ehn. Let's go now.

  2. Anyone that will make life btr for who I want God to put there.

  3. I say a big YES to an Igbo president. We own this country together.

  4. Why do our leaders at the helm of power do not want East to rule Nigeria? I don't understand o. But the same igbo people clamouring for Presidential seat still are the ones shouting they want Biafra, that Nigeria is a zoo, okay if you become president of a zoo, what does that make you? What we need is a good leader that will make life easy and better for a common man in Nigeria, be it from South, west, East or north.

    1. That is how people who loose wars are treated since time immemorial. It's difficult before they can be trusted again nor treated as equals. And to worsen an already fragile status, Nnamdi Kanu struck And lost again. That set us back big time. Nne, there is little or no hope for that o. Instead, a Delta-Igbo or Rivers-Igbo will rather considered. I don't even blame them. If I were them, I won't trust us.

  5. Abeg we re all one,I pray to God to give us a better person.

  6. President no be appointment...Na by election...The south East should learn how to do politics without emotions...The PDP they support can't even give them ticket during primaries. All we want is a sincere leader who have our best interest at heart.

  7. My issue is that you guys have so alienated other tribes by your utterances and behaviour so how will they join u guys to win an igbo presidency cos only igbo votes can not translate to a Nigerian(igbo) president!
