Imo Gov Hope Uzodinma Says He Inherited Monumental Payroll Fraud From Sacked Gov Emeka Ihedioha

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has revealed that he inherited payroll fraud from the administration of former governor, Emeka Ihedioha.

Speaking at the ceremony marking Nigeria’s 60th independence anniversary in Owerri, Uzodinma said that he equally inherited systematic corruption from Ihedioha.

He noted that he had made tremendous headways since he became governor despite the many challenges.

“Coming into office barely nine months ago, we encountered a microcosm of systemic corruption and disruption in the public sector,” Uzodinma said.

“We met monumental payroll fraud in the system; we met a disoriented and disarticulated civil service and a very sorry state of infrastructural provisions.

“Corrosive corruption in all facets of society makes governance more herculean. A horrendous civil war and serial military rule in the short span of 60 years has not helped matters either.”

Uzodimma with all due respect should shut up, and sit down. He's the worst thing to happen to ndi IMO.

  11. Supreme Court governor who begged you to inherit anything? We’re you elected? Supreme Court installed you there. Stop calling Ihedioha’s name, he was barely 6 months there. You and Supreme Court decided to inherit Okorocha’s mess so deal with it and stop disturbing our peace.
