Northern Governors Call For Censorship Of Nigerian Social Media...

Northern Governors under the aegis of the Nigerian Northern Governors’ Forum, have called for the censorship of the social media..
The governors said the social media has a “devastating” effect after their meeting on Monday.

They also vowed to keep Nigeria one, declaring that the unity of the country was non negotiable.
.
The northern governors condemned the #EndSARS protests which they claimed was meant to remove the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari(retd), from office.
.
Part of the communique issued after the meeting read, “The meeting took note of the devastating effect of the uncontrolled social media in spreading fake news. Therefore, calls for major control mechanism and censorship of the social media practice in Nigeria.
.
“Meeting raises attention on the need to keep strict watch on the Federal
Capital Territory to guide against unwarranted and destructive protests to safeguard critical assets of the Nation.
.
“Meeting commends the National Assembly and the Presidency in being
proactive in addressing the issues of Endsars protests across the country.
.
“The meeting resolves to support the Nigerian Police Force to serve the country better and calls for the strengthening of trust between the people and the Police.
.
“The meeting expressed concern over the low level involvement of relevant
stakeholders in the implementation programmes of Government and calls on the relevant agencies to review implementation strategies to make for maximum impact and benefits.
.
“The meeting rejects and condemns the subversive actions of the $EndSARSprotest. The superlative agitations and other change-regime actions outside the ballot box soon take advantage of the peaceful protests to push for their separative agenda. The meeting endorse the indivisibility, indissolubility and oneness of the Nation.”

  11. Honestly i can't believe i am in the same country with these kind of people with Analogue concepts. I blame Lord Lugard for this terrible amalgamation. We don't have anything in common with these people. The Boko boys are killing their people, banditry is a thriving biz there, their women are being raped and kidnapping is on a high side, the list is endless and they are not bother about these security challenges. It is the social media that is their headache. Misplaced priority indeed. It is high time I started making moves to get out of this country. Nigerian can't get better with mindsets like this in power.

They should start with ending banditry and insecurity in their region.

Btw nothing wrong with white but they dress like they are clean but are inwardly and in their dealings are thieves and serious pen looters!
