US President Elect Biden Reportedly Appoints Nigerian Born Adeyemo As Deputy Treasury Secretary

US President-elect Joe Biden on Monday formally appointed Nigerian-born Adewale Adeyemo as the Deputy Treasury Secretary.






 

AFP reports that Adeyemo, a former deputy national security advisor and current president of the Obama Foundation non-profit, would be the first African-American in that role.

    This guy was in the Obama administration. Very smart and humble. Maintained a very low profile. There are a lot of Nigerians doing very well here. We have excellent work ethics and very hardworking. I know there have been a few bad eggs but l think some of our white counterparts just get intimidated by how hard we work.

      That's the spirit! I admire Obama for bringing out stars, irrespective of race.

      I know more than 5 Nigerians who are beneficiaries of Obama's knack for pulling people up thru the Mandela Fellowship.

      I congratulate Mr Adeyemo for this opportunity. I also thank President Elect Biden for giving this appointment.

    One thing l have realized is that some white people, are very threatened that Nigerians will displace them as boss.
    The average Nigerian here, is a go getter. They set standards and achieve it. They work very hard, are very dependable employees. If not for Nigerian and Filipino Nurses, it will be hard to staff most hospitals here. They work overtime happily. Nigerians rock!! Forget weitein trump talk. They are envious.
