  1. DONT OBSESS OVER THE FUTURE

‘Don’t be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time.’
    Matthew 6:34 TLB

Psychologists reckon that about 95 per cent of all we worry about never happens. What about the other 5 per cent? Four out of five times things turn out better than we anticipated, including a lot of outright blessings! In the end, only 1 per cent of all the bad we think might happen actually does, and of this it’s rarely as bad as we feared. That’s why Jesus said, ‘Don’t be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time.’ The apostle Peter gives us the right perspective to live by in these words: ‘Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully’ (1 Peter 5:7 AMPC).

  2. Victories Only!!
    Proverbs 4:18.

    Excerpts!!

"Irrespective of the magnitude or fierceness of the challenges we face, there’s only one  outcome: we win"

"The challenges and crises of life are for your  promotion. Never be intimidated"

"Learn to trust in Him, and follow His Word, putting it to work in your life"

    Today's Confession!!

I have and enjoy the transcendent life; victories  unlimited! I’m making progress with giant strides,  from glory to glory. When men are cast down, I’m lifted, because greater is He that’s in me, than he that’s in the world. Hallelujah!

  4. The more you dwell on the right thoughts, the less room there is for the wrong thoughts.

We all spend time every morning getting dressed and ready for our day. We take a shower, shave or put makeup on, and decide which clothes to wear. We put effort into getting the outside looking the best we can, and that’s good. But a pretty face can’t hide low self-esteem, and wearing the latest fashions won’t cover up feeling unattractive. I wonder what would happen if we took five minutes every morning to get our inner person ready for the day. What would happen if before we leave the house, we remind ourselves of who we are? “I am strong. I am talented. I am attractive. I am disciplined. I am focused. I am beautiful. I am amazing. I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Take time to make these positive affirmations over yourself. If you do it in the morning, it will get that recording started in the right direction.
    Joelosteen.

    Beautiful morning to y'all.

  5. You got a Visa and boom! You want a divorce. Marriage don tire you. You feel you now have an edge over him. Because of ordinary Visa? If you think everybody here has a simple mind like most of the idiots urging you to abandon your marriage, then you need to have a rethink. Some of us pay attention to what isn't said not what is being said.
Your husband spent all he had on wedding and became frustrated. You (yes, you) also advised him to leave his job and start up something. His broke state got to him and took a toll on him. You cleverly told us all he said to you and left out the ones you said. Madam, una exchange hot words. And in such situations, people say nonsense. You also said a lot of nonsense. Your husband did not wake up one morning to ask you for your family's property. Na lie. In the heat of exchange, he fucked up and said one nonsense that you assumed he suggested such. If you like, listen to all the frustrated women here. They project their lives on others. Listen, I'm not exonerating your husband in any way. In fact he fucked up by allowing you spend some money on the wedding to begin with. Any Naija man who isn't financially buoyant to foot his wedding bill has no business with marriage. This is just one out of his fuck ups. But I'll focus on you.
I'm telling you this as nwa afor, the most useless set of Nigerian men are domiciled in the UK. That is where all the demons reside. If you allow these mad girls talk you into leaving what you have, na you go regret am. Your husband's major problem na say him broke. Nothing else. None of these SDK witches loves you more than your mother. Listen to her. Every marriage goes through challenges mostly at the early stage. Go and read what Perxian wrote. One fool had to insult her despite the fact she made the most sense.

    1. Must you insult to put your thoughts across. Why do you behave like a low budget illuminati on chronicles then come on SP and bear your fangs. Na type women dey seat on their heads mtsheww

      Delete
    2. Ceaser I am a very big fan of yours, but please the insults you dished out we're uncalled for..
You can point out your opinion without insult, please..
I still remain your biggest fan..

      Delete
    3. I agree with you Ceaser about exchanging hot words. But I disagree that they are nonsense. People speak from what is within. Poster if you are reading and you decide to continue with your husband, you both must commit to facing only the issues and never using abusive words on each other. It has worked for my hubby and I and we are going on 16 years of a happy and interesting married life. Lol!

      Delete
    4. I want to piggyback on what Ceaser posted though not totally in support of the curses and all. Traveling out of Nigeria is not a ticket to riches. You are starting all over again. Notwithstanding what you and your spouse had, the devil you know is far more better than the angel you’re hoping on meeting in the new world. You will be going with a student visa, the hours you will be allowed to work is limited compared to when coming in as an expatriate. I think you need to talk things over with your spouse, and find a common ground. Marriage is about forgiveness and making concessions, one partner can not always have his or her way, the relationship will not work, you will come to resent each other because of this, and resentment breeds division. Then you need to take things to God, the architect of relationships, talk to Him like a friend or your Dad you love so much, pour out your heart, ask for wisdom and guidance. That one has visa and thinks he or she has made it leaves much to be desired, a visa is not a gateway to riches, may God guide us all aright.

    5. Woman know the kind of ppl you take advice from. As you can see, this one is as abusive as your husband so he would definitely defend his likes.

Anonymously i didn't know you had sense like this walai! I'm so sorry about the way i yabbed you the other day..
      Peace!

    6. I support you on this, the way pple advise this days, u will think their lives are perfect, most of their husbands her worse than hers, he still had 800k for wedding, e try. Some women foot all the bills and pretend all is well with their marriage.

  7. Every single one of my romantic relationships that ended in premium tears were with people with daddy issues. ALL of them. I've had my fair share and still do. It's not a coincidence.

I hear there's a debate around whether a father who isn't providing financially should be allowed access to his child.

    Dear single mother,

Don't set up your child for pain and misery. Also don't create a ticking time bomb for other people's children that will marry them.

Don't be the reason a child doesn't have a relationship with his father. If the man creates the distance himself because he's abusive towards the child or uninterested, it's understandable. Let the blame not be on you because you're bitter and haven't healed from whatever pain the man caused or is causing you.

Being a parent is a thankless job. You don't own that child. You're a caretaker, for a few years. Don't think you are owed the world or anything for that matter because you stayed to take care of a child you brought to the world who didn't ask to be born. Get your ego in check. Do everything legal to ensure the man do his own bit in raising the child without damaging the child which is what you do when you prevent the child from receiving the love and affection the father could have given.

A horrible husband can be a great father. Money is important, it's not the only thing a father can/should provide.

Kids won't be kids forever. They will grow and know who was present and who isn't. They will definitely appreciate the one who stayed and did all the heavy lifting. You have nothing to worry about. Make sure they're not missing out on a father-child bond because you stood in the way. They'll hate you for it.

    1. What happens when the new wife doesn't allow him access to the child? What happens if the mother is trying to protect the child from a lot.
For me,so long as the child is still a child and not yet a teenager to understand some things on her own,the only meeting point is my house.
When the child is of age,he/she can go live there.

  21. You meet someone that ticks all the boxes... Same Vision, same Christian depth, Same passion for helping, Sexual compatibility is great.

The one thing you now cherish the most in a relationship is now lacking which is communication. He sucks at it. And its a long distance thing. His love language is quality time and mine is words of Affirmation.
    Will it work?

    Hold on or move on.

    1. It will work! Communication skills can be learned. Ask the Holy Spirit to teach the man. Please don't lose that guy. Guys like that are golden eggs, difficult to come by.

By the way its long distance. You can't tell how it will be when he's close.

      God bless you.

    2. It could also be he's going through stuff. But,if that's just his nature, you will just have to adjust after you both come to a compromise.

For me,spiritual compatibility is key. Don't just get tired of his communication problem like that

  29. The first email I sent on my first role in a private firm got my manager running into my cubicle 🤣😂🤣 This was after working with government for 3 years. Government workers, una doh oo 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Unfortunately, we could not recall that mail and it was sent to our partners in Ghana and the UK 😢😥😢 Manager made me read 100 email etiquettes and I had to blind copy him on all emails until I was able to stand on my feet 🥵🥵

That was in 2015. I am a pro now and I even have strategists and business owners asking me for help to re-word their emails and business documents.😎😎😎

My story has 3 morales (abeg, shay morale get plural?)

👉 Are you starting a new job or a new role and feeling totally lost or out of place? It's totally normal. Your anxiety just makes you realize that you are stretching to fill the void. Hold on! You will be alright.

👉 Are you in any position of leadership, no matter how small? Are you allowing others grow? Don't be very quick to criticize and slow to praise. Criticize but share a plan to help your subordinates grow. It is that plan/way-forward that makes your criticism constructive.

👉 My manager went to be with the Lord after barely 3 years of working with him. He was not even 40 yet. Each time I get commended on my work etiquettes, I remember him. He was not just a nice boss. Nom groomed me.

His birthday notification popped up on my LinkedIn and I sent him yet another post-humous birthday wish. What legacy are you leaving behind? What will be remembered of you when you are long gone?

    Copied

    1. It's supposed to be courting, getting to know each other well before proposal. Both of you have put the horse before the Cart. As for information, relax and ask genuine questions. Ask how he would want the relationship/marriage will go and in turn say yours. You may not necessarily think too much, if both of you begin discussing, questions will flow naturally
